Why is the game at 11am?

volleyball game tonight.

Underrated comment.

But I think Soccer is really the one that has a night game. Go Taylor Moon!

Mason looks to be best passer Drew has had since Tweety. Mayer really looks promising. He has had the un-teachables - size, talent, motivation. Plenty raw but he could end up high on the all time leader board for Baylor in a lot of categories. He does a good job putting himself in the right position offensively and defensively.
It's going to cause some headaches this year because he'll spend a fair amount of time out of control and playing black-hole ball, but I think the fearlessness we've seen from Mayer so far is going to be a very good thing in the long run.

As I've said before, this guy's offensive skill set is elite, and it's in a 6-9 package that can get his shot on virtually any defender. You want that type of player to have a go-to scorer mentality. It's much easier to rein in an over-zealous freshman than it is to instill that level of aggression and confidence into a player who didn't arrive with it.

Once the college game slows down for him, Mayer's game will eventually catch up to his potential. And when it does, watch out.

After rewatching the telecast, I really liked this 5 together:

Clark - C
Mayer - F
Vital - F
King - G
Mason - G

The lineup I really want to see:

Clark - C
Mayer - F
Kegler - F
Mason - G
King - G

with Vital (6th man or switch Vital & Mayer) and Bandoo, Thamba and Butler as situation specific players.
