Only good from this is that it comes closer to ensuring KU doesn't repeat.

66-60 final. Extremely odd game that I feel we could've won 7 times out of 10. Really, no one played all that well and a few played horrendously. Gotta get up for OSU Wednesday because they're playing much better lately.

We need good Mason back when the tourney starts.

You can count on one hand the amount of good possessions he's had this week. Crazy how bad he's been since the 40 point game.

I'm a Rockets fan, but those neon Miami Heat Vice jerseys are pretty sick!

Ugh. A game of turnovers and missed FTs. Time to come home and blow out Okie Lite on Wednesday, Sic 'Em!

I think we just need Mason on the bench more come tourney time. For a grad school senior, he sure doesn't play smart basketball much. Way too many unforced turnovers. He should never play point. This loss isn't all on him but much of it is.

I was hoping that the 5 who played the last 8:44 and overtime of Wednesday night's game (Butler, Bandoo, Gillespie, Kegler, and Vital) would be our go to guys, with Mason and King seeing limited backup time as needed.

I think most on here realize that making the Big Dance and making deep runs are more important than regular season Conference Championships, as cool as it would be.

Agree. Your post does reflect the history of Baylor Men's Basketball. Having said that, I'm of the opinion this year we have an opportunity to surprise many in Kansas City.

True. At least coaches are regularly mentioned by how many Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight teams they have had.

Winning conference helps recruiting. Most championship teams win their conferences.

I agree, we do have a chance to make some noise during the Conference Tourney and help our seeding, we even have a chance to win it, which would be amazing given how this year started.

The post was more aimed at the very few that have somehow weighted a regular season Conference Championships more than making the Big Dance. It would be great and a huge positive for the program for sure, but it is not the end all be all.

True. At least coaches are regularly mentioned by how many Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight teams they have had.
And they're also regularly mentioned by how many conference titles they have - when they actually have one or more.

Occasionally, really, not regularly . And it seems regular-season conference championships are mentioned to avoid addressing tournament disappointments by certain high-profile coaches.
