What a complete meltdown. Unbelievable. No inside presence whatsoever and then the outside shots stop dropping.

What a choke job. That does not bode well for this season.

This one hurts... luckily basketball is a long season and there will be plenty of chances to prove themselves. Lack of leadership and confidence from Clark is concerning.

Clark is really, really bad. We were better without him last year too. Let Gillespie be our big man. The meltdown started when we tried to run the offense through Clark.

I mean there was a lid on the bucket for us down the stretch but come on the refs didn't call a foul on wash for the last 15 min of the half.

That doesn't bode well for Baylor sports this weekend.

Well that sucks.

Isaiah Stewart is a name we're going to hear often in the future.

That was a beyond pathetic display of basketball... Sad part is most of that had nothing to do with Washington's play.

When you have 3 players go 10-35 shooting... Yikes.

If Clark could have just been an average D1 player tonight, win this game by 5-6. Instead, he was... yeesh.

I suppose we aren't really a top 20 program.

If Clark doesn't miss 5 layups nobody complains about the refs. Easy to complain when the team is letting a double digit lead go.

No they aren't. This was a loss to an average team.

Y'all are ****ing sad. We lost to Texas southern at home last year. CTFO.

Sure there weren't many fouls called down the stretch, but when your best big plays scared and the other team is in a zone that you're not attacking it happens.

Please, no more trying to run the offense through Clark. That was awful.

Ugh just terrible. 1 point in the final 5 minutes. Throwing up bricks from six feet and in. Early losses aren't always a bad thing - hopefully Drew kicks some ass in practice.

The last 7 fouls called were all on BU.

I don't want to hear anything else about the Texas Tech game after this officiating hose job.

Clark will figure it out. I'm not worried about that.

I would have liked to see us put one of the guards in the middle. Would've given them a different look

I'm zero percent worried about Tristan Clark. The other 8 guys not named Jared Butler? Yeah, consider me very worried about those guys.

Clark 3/14. Took the most shots on the team. Should have benched him midway through the second half. If we're gonna ride him this season then we're in trouble. Like others said, we were better with our guard oriented offense when he went down last year. That's just the reality.

As frustrating as this was, I have to convince myself the team grew a lot more tonight than if we'd played our usual 20+ point non-conference win over a SWAC or MEAC school.

Shut up. Don't blame the refs. We blew a 13 point lead and scored 1 point the last 5 minutes. That is on the team.

Washington may win the Pac12 again with his team, but then again that's about the equivalent of being in the upper part of the second division of the Big 12.

I guess we're tapping the breaks after beating a low major. This game tells us a lot. Big teams are going to eat our lunch. Got annihilated by freshman in their first game. Awesome.

Yeah, this team may well mature out like most of Drew's teams do, but right now, we're really not that good. Still a long way to go

I like Scott Drew and have always enjoyed knowing we will always have a competitive basketball team. One of the main things we seem to always lack is killer instinct. You have to finish, you have to kick them when they are down. We simply play too nice at times and it feels we lose our edge.

Knowing this, I am not disappointed in the loss. I've come to expect it. Thankfully it is a long season and all we need to do is get in the tournament. Then the real season begins.

Dude's coming off a season-ending knee injury. This is a very bad take.

Washington wanted Clark to touch the ball as much as possible. In fact, they essentially made it happen down the stretch... and they won because of it.

Ugly loss to an average team, though the knee-jerk reactions are just as ugly. I will never count a Drew coached team out, especially this early in the season. He will have them ready for the next game and beyond. Sic 'Em!

I'm still trying to remember when Clark ever dominated before the injury. It looks like the same player to me.

Exactly. If drew has proved anything, it's his ability to change his schemes throughout the season and adjust. His in game ability to adjust isn't at that level though.

This team will be fine.

Last defensive foul on UW was with 15 min left. Our big guys combine for 10-35. It's not a coincidence. We got more and more aggressive as the 2nd half went on and continued to get hammered on dunk attempts at the rim.

We should've still won the game, but that was Phog level absurdity.

You mean the same player that averaged 15/8 and was the most efficient player in the entire country? Yeah, he sucks.
