Gameday: Bears back on the hardwood against Southern

The Baylor men's basketball team will return to the court after 11 days off to face the Southern Jaguars on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas. The Bears (8-0) put their undefeated season on the line against the Jaguars (4-5).

I like what I see from this team. You can't win 40 in a row until you win 9 in a row. I think #10 for Southern is a good player.

Games like this can tell you a lot about a team. It is one thing to say the right things, but to put it into action and actually bring it every night is something not many teams can do.

yep- hurt it on the offensive end. Great competitiveness to get back on defense.

That's the difference between he and Lester/Chery. First off he's miles better than both offensively, but when those two weren't hitting shots, they turned it over too much. Manu is incredible with his PG skills.

Kenny was a really smart player. Just not as fluid as Manu.

I hate games like this. We jump out 40-16 and then spend 25 minutes of game developing bad habits. Kinda stupid

Kenny was a really smart player. Just not as fluid as Manu.
I liked Kenny. He seemed to have that clutch gene. But my biggest complaint with he (and Medford) was the shot selection, especially with he difficult long 2s.

But Pierre and Manu stand out far above the PGs we've had in a while (Tweety as well).

you develop habits in practice, not in games. it's human nature to coast when the game is no longer in doubt. we also have a a game soon and then a "game" the next day. this isn't a big deal, it's just frustrating to watch.

also temporary, we have picked it back up! amazing what 3 balls do to perception.

I think Manu is better overall because his defense is surprisingly good. He and Tweety are close. We will see how Manu does in conference.

he hit 40.6% last year (28-69), but yes we are much better with him as a threat. he started slow this season, but no reason to think he wouldn't pick it back up.
