#1 Baylor (24-1; 13-0) takes care of Oklahoma (16-10; 6-7) in Norman, Oklahoma Tuesday night.  The Bears break the Big12 record for consecutive wins with 23 in a row.  Next up is the game of the century Saturday vs Kansas in Waco.

Five Points

-- The Butler did it.  Jared Butler hit big shot after big shot in the second half to help the Bears get another huge road win.  22 points; 5 rebounds; 3 assists; 3 steals and only 1 turnover.  Big time players do big time things when their team needs it.

– Elite defense!  Through 7 road games in the Big12, the Bears are holding opponents to 56 points per game.

– Gillespie and Vital were big again.  16 points; 16 rebounds; 1 turnover.  Shouts out to Tristan Clark for great effort off the bench.  8 points; 4 rebounds; 1 block; 1 assist and no turnovers.

– Davion Mitchell is much better than his stat line every game.  He controls the game from start to finish.  “Off Night” shut down the OU guards like he shuts down everyone.

– Great to see Bandoo hit a key 3 after an 0-10 stretch.  We will need him versus Kansas to hit shots.

great work, Ashley. Wish I was on that bus. Sounded like a great time!
Just remember it could always be worse (Sloan, Stanton, Steele)

Well Bandoo went 0-6 from 3 vs WVU. I said he rarely has 2 bad shooting games in a row. Not sure if I would call this "bad" because he hit a few 2's and made his FT's. But he definitely is one guy who we need to step up and be just a bit more consistent. He likes to shoot the thing so I'm all for it. He just needs to be a tiny bit more productive. I don't like it with our switching D when he has to all of a sudden take their post player. Lord, I hope CSD has a way to keep him out of the paint vs. KU. He has to go for the steal or deflection cuz Bazooka and that other giant will have him for dinner.

Overall though, he is making progress but since this is his last year he needs to play this last stretch like gangbusters. And Clark is starting to show signs of the player he was 2 yrs ago. He made some nice shots and good passes. This is crucial vs. their front line. My biggest problem right now with him is his reaction time. I cringe when he starts to back down his guy for a shot although with the right matchup it's alright. I'd rather see him fake that move and kick it to a guard. If only he had Vital's energy and reaction time he would be super effective. But I'm patient with him due to his injury. The knee is one of a bball players hardest injuries to get back to 100%.

Kudos to this team w/o Macio though. They just simply have a way of the right play at the right moment and that is all Scott Drew.
