Let's take it easy with the hot takes. This game was obviously a disappointment, but this is still one of the best teams in the country with a legitimate shot at a national title. We might look back on this game in April and be thankful for the reset to the team's psyche.

Absolutely this.
No way. When you are having the best season in history THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. Pathetic offense today. TCU wanted more. They played 40 minutes. We played about 10.

Yikes! Just got in from a golf tournament and looks like I picked a good game to miss. Oh well, these are gonna happen during a long season. I'd just rather it had been against someone, anyone, other than TCU. Must habe really been off in several areas of the game. I'll just delete from the DVR without watching and move on to the Tech game.
The second half was the worst defensive half we've played in a very long time. Just awful from buzzer to buzzer. Very uncharacteristic of this team.

KSU put a spell on us by letting us make it look so easy. The lack of offensive production in he first half just killed a potential blowout. Butler missed everything he threw up from 3 nor did he even try one in the 2nd half until the game was out of hand. Bet we drop several spots tomorrow. We are still not KU!

Great teams ALWAYS find a way to win these type games. We are not great, but we are very good. TT and WVU will not be cakewalks. I just scratch my head over whatever kind of offense we are running. I have commented there is way way too much dribbling going on around the perimeter instead of swinging the ball side to side. It hit right square in the fanny today!!!

Did I ever say a word about that? This is what you people do. When we see what you also saw and then we discuss the game via X's and O's then you pop up with the usual FIRE THE COACH commentary. Nobody is saying that, but you tell me. Were they ready to play 40 minutes today? Did you recognize the B team on the floor today. Drew always says he does not have to fire these guys up. Their veterans, but sometimes the coach has to step in. We were way too relaxed as evidenced by not following Bane off the ball screen. That is inexcusable and that is our defense just deciding not to hustle to the ball. I have not seen them play that way all year. No way this BU team when focused lets TCU score 54 in the 2nd half. That should have as many points as they scored the whole game.

I never said that there's no excuse for us being 25-3. Complete lie and mid characterization. You don't know me, and have no idea how much basketball I have watched. We allowed almost as many points in the 2nd half as we've averaged allowing for an entire game this season, to an inferior opponent. Every analyst on the broadcast and network has referenced our inconsistent play and lack of offense, even stating that it could get us bounced from the tournament, despite having the talent to win it all. They also have said that we can't always count on our great D to bail us out, and today, that D was non existent, seeing defenders lazily sag under screens when TCU was on fire from 3, or get beat by a step. But you go right ahead and blame me for my opinion and "hot take," declaring that I haven't watched basketball.

Over the years that I have been on this and BaylorFans boards, I have read way too many posts that I absolutely disagreed with, and in some cases thought were ridiculously off the mark, but I always try to at least consider every point of view, without calling someone an idiot. Especially when I have absolutely no clue about their intelligence, background, knowledge, or experiences. But you feel free to go right ahead, without having a clue who I am or my background. Don't let common sense hold you back.

For the women to lose a single conference game, they have to play like absolute dog ***** Upsets happen all the time in the men's game. Until parity hits women's college basketball in any meaningful way, people need to retire these stupid comparisons.

Hell yes I do. What you don't understand is I am talking about the effort. Missing shots is one thing, but then not even being in position to defend is another. I hold this team to a higher standard and you forget the team on the other side is also a bunch of so-called kids. And we have the veteran team. Sure, I think they can just toss this one away, but do you really want to be going into March having lost 2 of the last 3? Back in January I'm not worried about it but not now.

Don't accuse me of stuff you cannot defend. What does Coach K have to do with BU? The game has long past him by and he is just a life coach with a lot of talent on the floor. I'm not ranting and raving but I will unless I see the effort that was out there today. But to you it is just "oh well we just weren't very good today. TCU was just the better team with a 7-9 conf record. Oh well all thing will just turn up unicorns and daisies." Get out of this site before I put you out.

That's just stupid like you. But we are free last time I checked the first amendment to criticize certain ELEMENTS of the game and the team. But people like you I've seen for 40 years...you little cupcake. Grow a pair and STOP with the criticism of the critics. I'm not trashing the team but I am trashing the effort in the 2nd half. If you got a problem with that too bad.
wuzzybear
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't even know who I am talking to here, but anybody who accepts this effort today needs to understand that some of us have been in the wilderness for 40 yrs with Baylor athletics and so when you are pushing your primary opponent to take over the reins then this effort will not do us any favors. I get it that we are going to lose but am never going to understand lack of effort from a team that was no.1 for 5-6 weeks.

Is not this the time of the year you need to be peaking? Yes.
Does this mean it is life over? No.
