Baylor Basketball
“Another Big 12 game that comes down to a couple of possessions. I know in the second half we did a better job competing on the glass. In the first half, Oklahoma State was tremendous on the offensive glass. That and our turnovers I thought we did a better job in the second half and that enabled us to get the lead.”
“They were really aggressive and physical and it took a little time to get used to. After we did I think we responded a little better. But credit them for doing a great job being physical.”
On the change of pace in the second half
“We had better rhythm in the second half. We were able to get some stops and bring the ball downcourt and we were able to figure out how to attack. Credit them for making everything hard for us to get into.”
On the importance of the record crowd
“It took us a little time to get used to too. They definitely affected the game and had an impact and was a big reason why we're ranked where we're ranked.”
“I tried to rebound my best. I tried to get as many offensive boards as I could. They were getting all of them and led 9-2 at halftime. We needed to get some more second chance points and that was the difference in the game.”
On Baylor’s second half comeback
“We've been down by more and come back. We just needed to stay together and execute. We knew what to do, so we came out and executed and got the W.”
“Of course. It’s a great feeling to be ranked No. 1. But again, we’re still the underdog. That’s how we’re going to keep winning, because we’re going to play our game like it’s our last.”
On if Baylor still sucks
“We still suck.”
