Ten Things: Baylor at Iowa State

November 7, 2020

Baylor travelled to Ames, Iowa to take on a tentless Cyclone squad. Here are the ten things which stood out during the game on Saturday.

  1. Momentum starting strong with the interception from Kalon Barnes‍
  2. The offense looks like what everyone wanted it to look like on the first drive
  3. Raleigh Texada baby!!!
  4. Charlie would like that throw back to the sideline
  5. Mark Milton‍ has to keep inside contain on the corner blitz
  6. Prayers up to Craig Williams‍ as that did not look good
  7. Jalen Pitre‍!!!!!!  T-REX GOING NUTS IN THE STANDS
  8. Momentum starts the 2nd half with the fumble on the punt return by ISU
  9. Momentun shifting back after two bad offensive series and the game is tied
  10. Offense hasn’t been the same since losing Sqwirl and Qualan Jones‍ and Taye McWilliams‍ are seeing the field more than Trestan Ebner‍
  11. And there is Ebner for the touchdown on 4th down
  12. Big stop with 4 to go in the 4th to give the Bears a chance
  13. and a poor throw ends it like WVU

14. Ending first half with a wimper. Fedora trying to protect a lead instead of keeping foot on the gas. Dumb.

15. Weak armed Charlie is still bad.

Baylor played their best game of the year. If only 1-2 plays had been different, the results would have been as well. They have much to build on today. I am more optimistic about the rest of the season than I was all week.

The injuries they had tonight give me very little optimism for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Iowa St is saying.......only 1 or 2 plays different (for example the pick 6) and we would have won in a 3 touchdown blowout.

Hiring Fedora was an obvious mistake
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

I'm still hoping that we will get another win or two in this rebuilding year. If not, there is 2021.
