Coming off a victory over Kansas State, Baylor (2-5) heads to Norman for their final road contest of the season to face Oklahoma (6-2) at 7 p.m. CT on FOX.

After ending a five-game losing streak with a win over Kansas State, Baylor football hits the road to face the defending Big 12 Champions and current Big 12 favorite the Oklahoma Sooners.

The 32-31 victory over the Wildcats last Saturday gave Baylor their first one-score victory of the season after dropping contests to West Virginia, Iowa State and Texas Tech by a combined 14 points with none coming by more than seven points. 

Meanwhile, the Sooners are red hot after dropping back-to-back conference games to begin Big 12 play. They have won five in a row including their last four by an average of 33 points. The streak is highlighted by a 41-13 beatdown of rival Oklahoma State. 

The one kink in the armor for the Sooners, however, could be the lack of practice time after dealing with COVID-19 issues where a large portion of the team missed time and forced a matchup with West Virginia to be postponed. OU is expected to be without a number players including start linebacker Nik Bonitto who leads the team with 6.5 sacks. 

After dealing with a large breakout earlier in the season, Baylor should be in the clear in terms of a large number of players missing the game due to isolation or positive tests. The Bears, however, have seen plenty of injury attrition this season including the loss of defensive star and starting linebacker Terrel Bernard to a shoulder injury.

Oklahoma is probably the best team in the conference if everyone played a best of seven against everyone.   They have the best offense and a solid defense with plenty of athleticism.   Under normal circumstances they should beat a Baylor team that has a new staff, a wildly changing lineup, and some key injuries like Terrell Bernard, Gabe Hall, and others.

However ,OU is dealing with an unpredictable COVID & contact tracing situation of their own so their usual players and execution may be missing.   Baylor has a chance with the right bounces this weekend as a weaker team in KSU beat OU in a similar way.   However, I am predicting based on a full lineup and I think OU would normally win handily.

As I've posted before, I would honestly rather watch one of the services academies run their 1970's three yards and a cloud of dust option offenses than the garbage Fedora is putting on the field.

If Aranda and or Mack R have any stones whatsoever Fedora is gone next Sunday. This is flat out embarrassing. COVID or no COVID he's a garbage can. Yes our o line sucks. But there's ways to counter that. Slants, crossers, quick WR screens. Instead he would rather run some sort of sweep on first for -5 followed by a pass behind the LOS.

His range is 40 yards. He wouldn't have even gotten close.

I agree on the slants/crosses or flat routes. We have tried the WR screens ad nauseum. They are too predictable, and CB doesn't have the arm strength to get the ball to them quickly.

Why is Jason Moore so weak after so many years in the program? Why has there been no development at all for ANY offensive linemen? What happened to Qualan Jones? Why have we seen so little of Jaylen Ellis? Why do we continue to see so much of Brewer with bad pass after bad pass? They keep making person el decisions on the offense like they have a high draft pick at stake.

Why not put Zeno in? We have literally nothing to lose. But then again the line is so trash he may just get injured. This whole program is pathetic. Fedora should be fired after this season.

I would be interested to see a stat of the number of interceptions Charlie has thrown from the pocket vs when he was on the move (such a thing may not exist). It feels to me that he throws better on the move, but I could be wrong.

If Charlie doesn't have the arm strength for those and he's still the starter Arandas needs canned tonight because that's pathetic. But I agree his arm strength is non existent

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the big homer grin that the head ref had on his face while patting an OU o-lineman on the back after they scored the TD. He might not be the complete idiot.

I don't think you are wrong. Very few good things happen with CB standing in the pocket

I agree. Brewer's lack of arm strength, along with subpar accuracy, along with subpar athleticism is killing this offense.
