Always tough to beat a good team 3 times in one year.

If yesterday's turnover machine and awful interior defense show up today, we lose by double digits.

If turnovers are under control and we play much better against backdoor cuts like we're capable of, then we take home a 3rd win.

Rather nervous for this one. Like DD said it's really hard to beat a team 3 times in one season let alone a good team. This will also be our first look at a full strength OSU squad. I do think yesterday's sloppiness was due to the opponent. However the defense has to get it together. Way to many variations of back door cuts killing us on D. Also we have to crash the boards hard today OSU killed WV on the glass

True, plus unlike the first two meetings OSU will have all of their starters available. We're still clearly the better team, but the "A game" had better show up or it will be a loss.

(NOTE: Iowa & I posted simultaneously).

Losing today and not playing 3 days in a row while still getting our legs back under us would not be the worst thing in the world to happen.

This team needs to get to a Final Four this year. If losing today pisses us off AND gives us another day of rest, so be it. On the other hand, if losing today somehow shatters our confidence .... well, I guess we better win today.

Losing today stops the recovery, so no, it's not a good thing at all.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

We were in sync last week. Three victories over 3 top 15 teams, the last of which was a blowout.

Losing today would not be that big of a deal. But I think we'll play better than yesterday.

Fewer turnovers today, FG% around 50%, and 3-Point Shooting around the 40-45% range, and it could be a successful day for Scott Drew and the #2 nationally ranked Baylor Bears in Kansas City.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
To win:

1. Just contain Cunningham (less than 20),
2. Play inspired defense (like you have done most of the year, except the last 5 games),
3. REBOUND, REBOUND, REBOUND (defensively and offensively),
4. Reduce TOs (13 or less) - repeat yesterday's 21, and we're out,
5. Hit the 3s (live by the 3, die by the 3), and
6. Replicate excellent foul shooting from yesterday (best percentage all year).

We have accomplished all of these things several times this year. Let's do it today, and the rest of the year.
IowaBear

Agree with almost all this. I'd add that we need to limit Boone for whatever reason he gives us fits. Also Likekele however he's still working his way back. So I don't see him being a huge threat today.

Ding, ding, ding - we have a winner! Can't have 21 TOs today.

Fortunately, OSU doesn't play the type of defense that would force that many turnovers. By the end of the season, K-State was playing pretty well defensively. If the first two matchups are any indication, OSU won't be able to pressure the ball the way they did. They'll likely mix some man and zone and try to keep us off balance that way. But I wouldn't expect us to have much trouble moving the ball and scoring. Stopping them on the other end will be the bigger challenge IMO.
vanillabryce
How long do you want to ignore this user?
OSU has a tendency to turn the ball over, and we force many TOs.

OSU is also aggressive on the boards - they hammered WV 45-32 yesterday. 38-29 the game before.

Win the TO battle, win the boards, and contain the drive without committing fouls. When they penetrate Boone gets easy shots and they go to the foul line.

Kia if that was the case maybe but I don't see the correlation. The tourney title is right in front of us and would be the only team in TX to ever win it.. so you take it. The tourney games don't start for several days after so the team will have nearly 5 days to rest even if we win the tourney championship game.
