Cross-sport analogy, so bear with me, but I look at Gonzaga as being similar to Baylor football in 2014 after the emotional win over TCU. Briles was asked how you come down from that high and get ready to play a good WVU squad the next week. He replied, "you don't. We're just going to try to ride that high all week and then regroup next week." (I thought the moment he said it that the approach was a mistake, but c'est la vie).

Gonzaga just played in one of the best games in NCAA Tournament history 40 hours ago, and won on a dramatic buzzer beater. There's no way they were able to immediately bank that win and move on to focus on us. Meanwhile, we've been laser-focused on them since their game tipped off. We may catch them a bit lackadaisical tonight, as everyone in the media only want to talk about Suggs's shot and how this is a team of destiny. That plays into our hands. We still have to play our butts off, no doubt, but we can do this, and the Zags' mental state may even help us do so.

Regardless of the outcome in the National Championship Game, this will be a historic night for Baylor University, and Baylor Athletics. As a Baylor alumnus, I'm so proud of Scott Drew, his coaching staff, players, and boosters to the program for the greatest season in program history. My focus is going to be on the NCAA title game tonight, but I will make comments after the winner is declared later tonight. Like every active SicEm365 member, I will be cheering and supporting the Bears during the 1st Half and 2nd Half. 'One Shining Moment' will really be special if the Baylor Bears become national champions. SIC 'EM, BEARS!

Mitchell needs to do so also. He needs to test the officiating on setting his feet, and adjust to the refs to make sure he's giving him that. I assure you Few has already made it clear to the assigner for this game to watch for it.

When I officiated, part of the pregame was visiting each locker room and going over points of emphasis. This is where officials should mention what they consider acceptable and out of bounds in things like play in the paint, hand actions, elbows and feet.

I have to believe the officials will do that tonight. On the national stage, the officials want it to be a good game, not stopped by a flood of whistles.

I agree. I like being the underdog. Less pressure and we can play more freely.

I remember most of the TV guys picking the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
