You have to be pretty well liked to see letters like that. Doesnt make his a great football player but shows that he's one of the good guys.

I find it hilarious that the Dallas Morning News super imposed their social media addresses on the players' letters when they tweeted them out like the letters are their intellectual property.

This is good. Good to know he has their support and that the team realizes it is an honor and privilege to be a Dallas Cowboy.

ex Cowboy stuff. Ron Leary with more knee issues. Ended the season on IR with back issues but the knees will be his downfall. Scoped and missed mini-camp. Moving from RG to LG if he stays upright

KSTP St. Paul reports Vikings OL coach Tony Sparano has died at age 56.
Sparano died at his home Sunday morning. He was due to report to Vikings training camp on Wednesday. The long-time coach had been with Minnesota since 2016. Sparano served as the Dolphins' head coach for four seasons, leading the team to a division title in 2008. He also filled in as the Raiders' interim coach after Dennis Allen was fired midseason in 2014. Sparano leaves behind a wife, a daughter and two sons.

NFL fully reinstates Randy Gregory

Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory will begin training camp fully reinstated, according to a source. The NFL informed Gregory of the good news.

He now is cleared to practice and play in games.

The league conditionally reinstated Gregory last week.

He hasn't played since the 2016 regular-season finale, missing last season while serving his suspension for violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy. The former second-round pick has 20 tackles and one sack in the 14 games he has played.

Titans waived OLB Kevin Dodd.

The No. 33 overall pick of the 2016 draft, 26-year-old Dodd declined to report when the Titans were due for training camp. He's been unhappy since the Titans traded up for Harold Landry in the second round of April's draft. Dodd has been a mega-bust to this point in his career, forcing his way onto the field for just 271 defensive snaps. He has as many career sacks (one) as starts. Despite his second-round pedigree, Dodd's advanced age for a third-year pro will limit his appeal as a flier on the waiver wire. Jul 24 - 4:14 PM

Don't the Titans run a 3-4 and if so is he more DE in a 4-3 than a OLB?

Not sure he is a fit to even kick tires on but the risk is low, so.....

No way he would be fast enough in our 4-3. Lots of backpedaling. But as DE, he must have good quickness to be an OLB

Suspended Cowboys DL David Irving did not report for the start of training camp Tuesday and is without a timetable for return.
He's away to take care of "ongoing personal issues" and missed much of the offseason with the same matters. Irving won sole custody of his daughter this year and has been unable to find proper child care for her. Per beat writer Clarence Hill, there's a chance Irving isn't at training camp at all this summer. He's suspended the first four weeks for a substance-abuse violation.

This is really strange - people find great child care every day. He gained custody May 14th. If he hasnt found child care that satisfies him in two months, I see no hope...

According to Todd Archerm ESPN, the NFL has opted to not punish him over the DV allegations. That means barring any new issues between now and his return in Week 5, he'll be eligible to play the remaining 12 regular season games for the Cowboys. He will be allowed to participate in training camp and preseason games, but must serve his four-game ban immediately following the conclusion of the final contest in August.

Scruggs also reported there's now a newly-added element to the drama. According to the recent rumbling, Thomas actually approached Raiders owner Mark Davis in Las Vegas and told him to "come get him."
Quote:

"I'm told Earl Thomas went up to #Raiders owner Mark Davis in Vegas and told him to come get him. Seriously. Make that the #Cowboys & #Raiders he is willing to play for. Thomas plans to sell his Seattle home." Scruggs tweeted.
