Dont...bottom line, if the 9ers dont win today then we rest and get ready for likely Seattle the following week. If the 9ers win, then you make an effort against the Ginas knowing Minnesota is going to sell out against the Bears.

And I just watched the Steelers put Switzer in the backfield and then leak him out for about 10 yards. We traded him again because?

Chicago is going to win so we officially have nothing to play for next week. We need to treat next week as our bye.

First, why did they draft him with Beasley already there.

Beasley is a free agent this off season and does nothing for you in the return game.

Two years ago they could have held off.

Switzer was a 6th round pick who not only would have been a WR replacement for Beasley, who they arent going to resign, but can return kicks and punts and take them to the house which Beasley never could do.

Instead we traded him to Oakland for Jihad Ward who didnt even make the team even with our interior DL issues going into the season, meanwhile Switzer is getting significant playing time in Pittsburgh.

He was a late round pick, but it wasn't a need 2 years ago. If it were they could/should have waived or traded Beasley.

System for the Cowboys wouldn't have utilized Switzer and they didn't, so it was another wasted pick they used to do nothing with in the trade.

Disagree...he was already a KR/PR and would have been more productive than Tavon Austin who in essence is his replacement on the roster. And you would have him for two more years on a rookie contract instead of Tavon and maybe Beasley on veteran contracts.

System has nothing to do with his utilization, Linehan being stubborn about using young players is what would have drove his under utilization.

Coach Jason Garrett insists "anybody who is healthy and ready to play is going to play" Week 17 against the Giants. That can be taken a number of different ways and leaves an "out" for Garrett, as no starter is 100% healthy this time of the year. Guys could use some rest, and the last time we saw Dallas in this situation with nothing to gain in Week 17, Ezekiel Elliott dressed but didn't play, and Dak Prescott and Dez Bryant played a couple series. It was essentially treated like a preseason game. Elliott is not going to get a full workload in his game, even if he is active. The Cowboys are already locked into the NFC's No. 4 seed and have far more to lose than gain Sunday.

Cowboys activated CB C.J. Goodwin off injured reserve. It's an ominous sign for slot CB Anthony Brown, who is dealing with a back injury and may not play in Week 17 against the Giants.

updated this a bit:

1959. Clint Murchison signs Don Meredith to a personal service contract to lock him up for the proposed Dallas Rangers NFL team. Murchison doesnt have the votes against the powerful Redskins franchise that have the South locked up. He finds out "Hail to the Redskins" is not owned, purchases it and trades it to the Skins for their vote. By the time the franchise is awarded, they decide to go with Dallas Cowboys rather then the Rangers
- April 1960: Cowboys set up headquarters at 4425 N. Central Expressway, where they leased the second floor of an office building from the ground-floor tenant Dallas Automobile Club. The building also housed the Cowboys' box office, where inaugural season-ticket prices were $27.60 for six games.
- 1960-62 seasons: Cowboys primarily practice at Burnett Field, home of minor league baseball's Dallas-Fort Worth Rangers; some practices are held at DISD-owned Cobb Stadium.
- 1960-1971; Cowboys use Cotton Bowl for NFL games
- 1961: Cowboys add a box office at 1509 Elm St., and fans also can purchase tickets at Reynolds-Penland and Jas. K. Wilson stores.
- 1962: Cowboys owner Clint Murchison Jr. buys property at Yale Boulevard and North Central Expressway, which not coincidentally was where the AFL's Dallas Texans had a practice field and field house. The Texans are forced to move to a new field a few blocks away for the 1962 season.
- September 1963: With the AFL's Dallas Texans relocating to Kansas City, Cowboys take over Texans' practice site/field house at Yale Boulevard and Central Expressway.
- June 22, 1964: Cowboys move to a temporary headquarters, 5738 N. Central Expressway (between Mockingbird and Yale), with plans to move again in 1966 to a nearby office tower being constructed by Murchison. The temporary office is about 200 yards from the team's practice field.
- Dec. 19, 1966: Thirteen days before hosting the Packers in the NFL Championship Game, Cowboys move into new offices at 6116 N. Central Expressway, taking over the 11th floor of a 15-story, $7 million Expressway Tower built primarily for Murchison's marine construction company, Tecon. The office overlooks the team's practice field.
- June 1967: Cowboys lease 3.5 acres near Forest Lane and Abrams Road and begin construction of a training facility and practice fields, which they move to in October.
- Oct. 24, 1971: After playing their first two home games in 1971 at the Cotton Bowl, the Cowboys opened Texas Stadium in Irving
- Nov. 29, 1983: GM Tex Schramm and coach Tom Landry co-man a shovel -- with the franchise's star logo on it -- during the groundbreaking for a 30-acre office and training facility in Valley Ranch.
- Aug. 28, 1985: Players and coaches move to the new Valley Ranch facility. Front office personnel move in several weeks later, marking the first time since 1967 that the team's practice facility and office complex are in the same area.
- Sept 2007 - Boys play their first game at the new Cowboy Stadium
- July 2013 - Cowboy Stadium becomes ATT Stadium
- July 2016 - Cowboys move into new practice facilities and headquarters in Frisco, aka The Star

Jane Slater of NFL Network reports the Cowboys will rest Ezekiel Elliott against the Giants in Week 17.
RG Zack Martin will also get a breather. With the Cowboys locked into the No. 4 seed, it makes sense for them to rest their starters ahead of next week's playoff opener at Jerry's World. Barring a career game from Saquon Barkley, Elliott will finish as the league's rushing champ for the second time in three years. With Dallas expected to rely on backups against the Giants, New York's defense could be a sneaky DFS play this week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Eagles are not expected to retain Nick Foles this offseason.
Foles has played well when called upon, including last year during the Eagles' miracle playoff run, but former second overall pick Carson Wentz remains team's long-term solution at quarterback. Quarterback-needy teams are expected to target Foles this offseason, giving the Eagles a decision to make. Philadelphia could franchise-tag Foles and attempt to trade him or they could pick up his $20 million option for next season. In the latter scenario, Foles would likely buy his way into free agency by giving back $2 million. Either way, the reigning Super Bowl MVP should be in high demand this offseason.

No playoff matchup is more likely to occur than Seahawks-Cowboys, which has a 97% chance to happen in the wild card round, per FPI. The next-most likely matchup is Vikings-Bears, with a 71% chance to occur.
