The Cowboys have added another free agent with tight end Jeremy Sprinkle agreeing to a one-year deal, according to a source. Sprinkle spent his first four seasons with the Washington Football Team and has 34 catches for 301 yards and three touchdowns for his career. The Cowboys lost tight end Blake Bell in free agency to the Kansas City Chiefs and will add Sprinkle to a group that includes Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz and Sean McKeon.

The compensatory pick deadline is April 27, meaning they can sign anyone after that date and it won't affect the compensatory formula. And if we look at what they've done so far this season, we could see possibly two compensatory picks coming back to the Cowboys in 2022 after losing Chidobe Awuzie to the Cincinnati Bengals and Andy Dalton to the Chicago Bears. Other players that left like Xavier Woods, Cameron Erving, and Joe Thomas have potentially been cancelled out after the Cowboys signed Tarrell Basham, Keanu Neal and Damontae Kazee.

One key competitor that was in the running to try and snag free-agent linebacker K.J. Wright has made it clear they won't move forward in the process.

According to Mike Fisher, the Cowboys have told Wright's agent that they are not interested in the 31-year-old veteran.

Wright, in the past, has told CowboysSI.com that "it's one of the teams he fits in with," since former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is now with the Cowboys.

Sadly, for Wright, Dallas didn't think the fit was there between them.

Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill has set win totals for all NFL teams for the 2021 season, and the Cowboys have a line of 9.5 wins. That total is tops in the NFC East.

NFC EAST: Cowboys (9.5), Washington (8), Giants (7), Eagles (7)

"The #Cowboys are not against trading down, and one of the teams I'm told would be interested in trading up, is the Chicago #Bears from #20." The Cowboys would then target OT Christian Darrisaw or LB Zaven Collins, per

Dallas is presently reliant on youngsters Trysten Hill and Neville Gallimore to do most of the work inside. After the NFL Draft, maybe Dallas re-examines its thoughts here. Injuries down the line could do the same. But for now, the Cowboys fans and media who are of the opinion that Dallas should sign Richardson and/or Hurst hold a view not shared by the Cowboys personnel department

To be fair Hill and Gallimore did flash last year so I can buy that to a point, but would like to have a solid veteran in the mix.
