Quote:

24. DALLAS COWBOYS: OT BERNHARD RAIMANN, CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Big Board Rank: 13
Profile: 6'6", 303 | Age: 24 (September 23, 1997)
One of the biggest risers following the 2021 college football season, Raimann earned a 94.6 overall grade, 88.7 pass-blocking grade and 94.6 run-blocking grade with Central Michigan this year. He didn't earn a PFF grade above 75.1 in any season prior. Expect his 2021 campaign and a strong Senior Bowl to vault him into the first round.
If there is an offensive tackle available that they think could be a cornerstone for the future, they could go that way with Tyron Smith's career winding down and Steele still trying to prove himself.
-----------
Intriguing. Slide him in at OG until needed at OT
A lot of mocks I have been running seem to have Raimann, Johnson, and Green all available to us and now some have Linderbaum as well. In other words, I think we have a great opportunity to trade down a little bit and still get a desired interior OL.
Agree, Get an extra 3rd for moving down 4-6 places. If you have half a dozen you like, why not? Buffalo at 25 needs a DB, Tenn needs Lb, Pitt needs a qb (prime trade partner if any are left at this point, Packers at 28 needs a WR, but KC has both 29 and 30, they need edge and S

Cincy at 31 WILL TAKE Lindebaum if he is still there.

The Cowboys' voluntary offseason slate begins on Monday, April 18. For two weeks following that date, the team will be in what is considered Phase One of the program; activities are limited to meetings, strength and conditioning work, and physical rehab.

The next three weeks see a move to Phase Two. As outlined by the current collective bargaining agreement, work can begin on the field in very controlled fashion: individual or group instruction or drills, "perfect play drills," and offensive players lining up across from other offensive players (likewise for defensive players), all conducted at a walk-through pace. No live contact or offense-versus-defense is allowed.

Phase Three's OTA workouts are scheduled to take place at The Star in Frisco May 24-25, June 1-2, June 6-7, and June 9-10. Still no live contact here, but 7-on-7, 9-on-9, and 11-on-11 drills can begin.

Mandatory minicamp, also part of Phase Three, will be held June 14 through 16.

This schedule does not include rookie minicamp, which can occur over a seven-week period beginning as early as May 16. Dates for the Cowboys' rookie program will be announced later.

According to the team, offseason work has already begun for some. Roughly 30 players- including Dak
, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Tyron Smith- have been in the facility for non-coached, player-led "captains' workouts."

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers are planning to have at least one joint practice in California this summer. The meet-up between the two teams would take place at the Chargers' facility in Costa Mesa, which is just abo ut 100 miles south of the Cowboys' training camp facility in Oxnard, California.

It's common for teams to hold a practice or scrimmage with another NFL team during training camp. According to NBC Sports, the last time Dallas and the Chargers met was back in 2012 in San Diego. Things apparently got pretty heated ten years ago. Cowboys tight end Andrew Szczerba ripped off Chargers linebacker Melvin Ingram's helmet and swung it at the linebackers head. Not ideal.

The Cowboys faced the Chargers early in the 2021 season in Los Angeles and Dallas narrowly escaped with a 20-17 victory. This likely means members of the Chargers will be excited to get their chance to prove themselves against America's Team.

In a recent article for Cowboys Country on FanNation, Mike Fisher calls for America's Team to make the "bold" trade and bring Metcalf into the fold. He believes that Dallas would be better served to go with "the sure thing" in Metcalf rather than try to draft another wide receiver in April.

"Rather than use a first-round pick on a receiver to team with CeeDee Lamb with the hope that the rookie will become a star catching passes from Dak Prescott… Why not use that first-round pick to trade more a sure thing in Metcalf?" Fisher writes.

Hes on the last year of the rookie contract. We could use future money, Dak, CeeDee and Gallup to lure him toward us when talkiing to the Hawks

6'4, 235, 75 rec last year, 12.9 per for 12 TDs, 83for over 1200 yds and pro bowl last year? What would you trade for him. Hawks have some extra picks... Our 1, we get their 2?

jets offered 35, 38, and 69 for Hill, for Tyreke Hill... DK was in that discussion before Hill went

Or do we have a player they like?

our D coaches spent a lot of time with DE Logan Hall at Houston pro day

Logan Hall is an ascending talent that combined mental and technical growth in 2021 to produce his best season and vastly improve his overall valuation. Houston plays him all across the defensive line, giving him plenty of chances to play on the edge and interior as both a run defender and pass rusher.

Hall features a long, stocky, and well-proportioned frame that is engineered to play defensive line in the NFL. He is an explosive athlete that plays with a motor that is always fully cranked. He does well to stay leveraged and compete hard from snap to whistle. The growth he demonstrated in 2021 with his hand technique is notable and he's slippery working through the edges of blocks. He's developed counters and refined his overall pass-rush plan.

As a run defender, Hall shines when he gets opportunities to shoot gaps but is also fully capable of fighting pressure with pressure and remaining stout at the point of attack. With that said, his lack of mass will be challenging to do the same in the NFL if asked to play on the inside on run downs. Hall's versatility will be an asset at the next level as teams continue to become more and more multiple with their fronts. In year one, Hall has the upside to crack the rotation and situationally make an impact. By year two or three, Hall has the makings of a fixture up front that claims a starting role and plays at least 60% of the snaps while taking advantage of his balanced skill set and ability to execute from a variety of alignments.

Played DT most of the time so they are gonna have to do some homework on moving him to DE

6'6, 283, 4.88 forty - probably peel 10-15 lbs off for pass rushing de and lower that forty

Ideal Role: 5-technique that can reduce inside on long and late downs
Scheme Fit: Any

The more and more I look at this draft the more I am thinking how solid the 2nd abd 3rd. While I dont think that we can get a 2 3 for our 1, possibly a 2,3 for our 1 and maybe trade spots in the 3rd? We also have the 129 and 130 in the fourth. The fourth will not be a bad round, seeinng lots of folks talked about in the first dropping to the third and fourh

linderbaum is gonna be great. They might also play him at OG if Badass improves. Hes only 6'2, 296 so he couldnt stay at OG too long. Only 31" arms also.

The more i lookat him he is a OC only

Quote:

Linderbaum has Pro Bowl potential but needs to be matched with a move-based rushing attack. He has the foot quickness and GPS to consistently find top positioning in the first phase of the block. He plays with leverage and body control to sustain and keep the running lane open. However, his size will make block finishing somewhat hit or miss and he will need help against some of the bigger defenders lining up across from him. Teams with certain size standards might pass on him but his tenacity and talent make him a can't-miss prospect if matched in the right scheme.

Quote:

Highly experienced guard prospect who helped open running lanes for backs who went on to play in the NFL. Parham falls below NFL size standards for the position but is very densely layered and plays with sound technique and above-average body control into and through contact. He's a task-oriented blocker who is much better at firing out than playing on the move and his success could be linked to the rushing scheme he lands in. Below-average mirror quickness and overall length are exploitable holes in his pass protection and could cause up-and-down play in that area. Parham can step in as a backup at both guard spots and has a shot to become a starter within his first three years.

Strengths

  • Four-year starter who can play either guard spot.
  • Broad chest and hips with proportional length and big hands.
  • Uses balanced, choppy settle steps into his block.
  • Unlocks hips and pushes the sled.
  • Clear processor who's able to adjust assignments on the go.
  • Acutely aware of his second-level target and the path to get him.
  • Punch-ready hands on a wide base in pass sets.
  • Maintains poise and feel for rusher during scramble situations.
  • Recovers and gets his man redirected around the QB when beaten.
  • Looks out for both gaps and helps the man next to him.
  • Adequate anchor to counter a bull rush.
