So the bye week will be a put up or shut up moment for Jerry. If he really wants to salvage this season does he pull another mid season Amari Cooper type trade to help the offense (because the defense is what it is) or do they stand pat. If they do stand pat then that is all you need to know

Well…he had all off-season to upgrade the roster after the embarrassing playoff exit and brought in Zeke.

Agree....all I am saying is he will either double down or do something

I'm telling you guys, we need to focus our aim on getting the best draft pick. While there is a dearth of players at the position we need the most, QB1, there are some nice OTs, Safeties and so forth. We have a lot of draft picks with all the comp picks due.

See what we can get in the next couple of drafts for the talent we have on the team that arent wedged in by the cap. Trade some folks away and get the picks. Lower cost and possibly as good or better talent.

This was overhaul time in the offseason but we didnt do it. I understand it, Jerry wanted a fourth Super Bowl in his lifetime but this group is not going to get it.

Agree...I just think you still have a chef problem along with the groceries...

Getting an early start as well. The right side of the OL, your RB room, your WR room, and your DL room are on on fire.

I'm all for bottoming out and draft positioning. It worked for the Mavs getting Derrick Lively.

But who is going to coach the new talent. Jerry won't bring in a real coach. He just wants a puppet. It feels pretty hopeless as long as Jerry is holding the franchise hostage.
There is no way that Jerry or Steven will not be the GM for the rest of my lifetime. I'm old! I've come to grips with that.
On the other hand, he did not give McCarthy an extension this year. I think Mike is coaching his last games this season.
I do know that all the coaches that he has hired have all said that he does not interfere with game day stuff or coaching. They have all been pretty clear on that point. It's the personnel that we are whiffing on along with these horrendous contracts that dont allow any movement. There was a tie I thought that Will McClay was the bomb. Now he's more of a bomb.

Awful about Hutch. He's a great player and the game is better with him in it.

The Detroit Lions pass rusher underwent successful surgery Sunday night to repair a broken tibia and fibula, the team said in a statement Monday morning. Hutchinson is expected to miss the remainder of the year, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
Detroit added that there is "no timeline" for Hutchinson's return to play at this time.
After suffering the gruesome injury in Detroit's lopsided win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Hutchinson was transported to Baylor White Medical Center in Irving, Texas, for immediate surgery. His return won't be as rapid.
Hutchinson will travel back to Detroit this week and is expected to make a full recovery, the Lions said in a statement. The pass rusher should be ready for the start of the 2025 campaign, Rapoport reported.

Not sure what the all the complaining is about. Jerrah is starring in a new Ford commercial, selling out his new arena, making tons of money, has the highest paid player in NFL history on constant media rotation. In Jerrah's eyes, this season is a complete success regardless of what else happens.

Being a Dallas Cowboys fan is hard.

Being Jerry Jones great-great-great grandchild is not.

Thirty-five years after Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys, the team is worth a staggering $11 billion, $3 billion more than any other team in the NFL, according to CNBC's Official 2024 NFL Team Valuations unveiled Thursday.

Well we jumped up to #16 in the draft order...PFF didn't like me drafting Steele's replacement so early. Also, used the Commanders to get more picks. If somehow Ott is sitting there where I got him, I would knife anyone in front of me to get that draft card in.

And to think that Jones is one of the folk that pushed for a hard cap...

Didn't know you were so violent!

And I agree on Williams. He would be a steal at 16. Hasnt been available in any of my mocks at where we sat before, 23

What happened to the 'genius' Will McClay? The Amari Cooper trade, drafting, personnel? I was on board with him for a while, but he seems to be sliding too
