Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy announced Thursday that the All-Pro guard will have season-ending surgery on his right ankle. This will be Martin's third surgery on that ankle. He missed the last two games with ankle and shoulder injuries.

Wonder if this is the end of his career?

Joe Burrow is one of five QBs in NFL history with at least 30 touchdown passes and no more than five interceptions through 12 games. Aaron Rodgers has done it three times, with one each for Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. The worst record among the six previous instances was 9-3, while Burrow sits at a hard-to-imagine 4-8. Two of those teams started 12-0: Green Bay with Rodgers in 2011 and Tom Brady with New England in 2007. Burrow leads the NFL in passing yards (3,337), completions (302) and touchdowns (30) entering Week 14.

That's just silly. This season was written off week's ago. You might even say the day Dak signed the HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN THE NFL deal. That was the start of a looooon downslide

They should throw a big parade down Pioneer Pkwy in Arlington to celebrate the 9th straight Forbes world title. The floats will feature members of the Jones' family only. And Rowdy ofc.

I cannot for the life of me figure out this Cincy team the last couple of years. Their D is not great, but actually not worse than other teams looked at as SB contenders other than TDs allowed, which is terrible.

This isn't really a thing in the NFL and they aren't going to make it anyway, but they are the classic don't want to meet them in the playoffs team.

Shouldn't the head coach be making this statement?

And this is why the Cowboys haven't played in a Super Bowl in 29 years.

I think Jerry has always been the spokesperson for all his companies. From a company and financial side, they are all widely successful, especially the Cowboys. From a production side, not so much.

I think Jerry has been there so long that the fan base has just kind of gotten used to this is how things work. But it is not normal at all.

I would like to see McCarthy replaced… But it probably doesn't even really matter as long as Jerry is still there calling the shots.

The head coach did make the statement. The man with the HC title is just a figurehead. And that's why cowboys fans wish he could be fired.

I think that it's more along the lines that we have seen bad moves for the past couple of decades, we have become adjusted to the idea that Jerry is the GM and that will not change even when Steven takes over

I wish some of y'all would shut the **** up about playing IN a Super Bowl.

You just want to play in one or what? Don't give a fk if you win or not?

Ask the bengals and 49ers if they want to play IN one.
Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

Got a bad feeling we are gonna win this one. Right now we are picking 12. Would love to end up in the Top 10 so we could get a Kelvin Banks or Jeanty

Just thinking, if Dak's hamstring still bothers him and he decides to retire, we may have an out. When an NFL player retires, they don't receive their salary or roster bonuses, but any prorated bonus money that hasn't counted toward the salary cap yet will count. The player's retirement also voids any guarantees in their contract.

I cannot see him coming back from the surgery well, given that it was torn at the hipbone. I don't think anyone has, but you never know.

Just a thought as to how we get out from underneath this MASSIVE cap issue. Dak might take a hit, but Jerry compensates him off the field somehow once he is officially retired.
