I don't think it ever even got that far. Jerry isn't paying a buyout for anyone.

The Dallas Cowboys now hold the longest gap in the NFC East between NFC Championship Game appearances (1995-present).

In fact, every team in the NFC has appeared in the championship game more recently than the Dallas Cowboys. The Chicago Bears have the next longest gap (since 2010).

In the AFC, only the Cleveland Browns (35 years) and Miami Dolphins (32 years) have longer conference championship game gaps than the Dallas Cowboys.

And if it is a Buffalo v Washington Super Bowl, Dallas will slide up to a tie for 7th place in longest gap between Super Bowl appearances.

Dak has the same number of conference championships as Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

I'd still take either one of those qbs over Dak. They've at least taken a team to the final two in their conference.

According to Bleacher Report, Ron Rivera is the favorite to take the Cowboys job.

He's a solid coach but I would like Aaron Glenn myself

The goal is to win the Super Bowl. But you can't ever do that if you can't make, and win, the conference championship game. You can't win a conference championship unless you play in it. When was the last time Dallas made the conference championship? 1995!

Josh Allen is 0-1 in the AFC Championship. Sunday will be the second time to make it in seven years.
Lamar Jackson is also 0-1 in the AFC Championship. He's only been once in seven years.
Dak Prescott has been in the NFL for nine years and never gotten close to a conference championship game. He's 2-2 in the wild card round and 0-3 (lost by 12, 14, and 14) in the divisional round.

Again, I would take either one of them in a heartbeat over Dak.

The Ls are the only data point that really matter at the end of the day. Shame the media doesn't smash on them the way they do Dak.

Daks passer rating, TD-Int numbers, and completion percentage are all better than Josh Allen. Lamar has fewer picks and a slightly higher passer rating. That's it.

The media treats Dak like sht for no other reason than he plays for Americas Team.

Dak loses if L's are the only data point that really matter at the end of the day.

Josh Allen win pct 68.5
Lamar Jackson win pct:68.4
Dak Prescott win pct 64%

Four percent is huge, especially since he's played one year longer. It only gets uglier for him if we post playoff win pct.

That may have been true for the old Dak, but recent Dak is timid in the pocket, has bad mechanics and is now medically repaired - which usually doesn't turn out well

Move Guyton to RT and you draft your new LT and RG. Johnson and Brooks are your two RBs, and you add some pass rushers. I think you have to bring in a free agent WR though but otherwise I think you have a lot of pieces to work with here.

You can put either player on Dallas or Dak on the Bills or Ravens and get the same results.

Dak gets shat on because he plays for Dallas. Period.
That may have been true for the old Dak, but recent Dak is timid in the pocket, has bad mechanics and is now medically repaired - which usually doesn't turn out well

Jerry probably drafting his replacement in a couple months.
Its not only a lousy draft for QBs but even the two at the top arent exactly Top 20 types in any other year
Not interested in Dart?
Not a game changer IMO. Not an upgrade from Dak for sure
Maybe he skips this year, next year looks better perhaps.
One reason I say boster the OL and DL, LB's this year. QBs and other skills in the upcoming years

Probably a good plan, give the next QB a solid team to work with instead of relying him to shoulder the entire roster.
Winning by cheating is just as impressive as winning fairly, probably even more so. Your opponent was better than you in every way, and you beat them with your brain.

Nope. Dak has one of the worst losing percentages against teams over .500 of active NFL quarterbacks. He's just not a good NFL qb. I'll never understand why Jerry offered him that contract. Doesn't matter who he plays for. He is who he is.

I did laugh.

Made 3 pro bowls, ROY and TD leader in '23.

Bye.

Not four posts ago, you said the only thing that matters at the end of the day was wins and losses.

Why are you now consistently bringing up things that don't deal with wins and losses?

It's because you keep putting lipstick on the pig.

You wanted a defensive coach too?
