You gotta go Will Campbell or Mike Green if they are there. The top WRs are off the board

Jets go Mason Taylor. Not someone we probably had an interest in at the point in the draft

We might have our choice. If they have seen that our CBs are still hurt, they may go Campbell. But Grreen could step right in opposite Micah

Please dont reach for a RB or WR. As much as I love Skataboo, he's not a second rounder

Green led the FBS in sacks (17) in 2024. He explodes off the ball and transitions from speed to power rushing the passer. His hands are active, and he changes direction well. Green wins with inside and weaving moves, and he dips and flattens at the top of his rush. He chases with excellent effort and gets under blockers and shoots his hands defending the run. He's a former linebacker who gets to depth when dropped into coverage. -- Steve Muench

Ezeiruaku is a slippery and rangy edge defender who ranked second in the FBS in sacks (16.5) in 2024. He is undersized for an edge, but his long arms make it tougher for blockers to lock onto him. He tracks the ball, gets off blocks and wraps up when he tackles. Ezeiruaku bends and closes well, jolting blockers with a strong punch and working off initial contact. He chases with good effort and slips multiple blocks on the same play. He had the quickest three-cone and short shuttle times of all the edges at the combine. -- Steve Muench

The sack production from 2024 speaks volumes, but Donovan Ezeiruaku's tape is flooded with pro-ready technique. He uses his hands incredibly well, and he plays with relentless passion when he's chasing down the ball.
His sack total doesn't just consist of proverbial empty calories; Ezeiruaku earns his sacks with active rush angle manipulation and intelligent hand application and counter work, emboldened by his natural leverage, burst, bend, and proportional length.
Ezeiruaku's smaller size (6'3, 248 pounds) is likely the reason for his name not being called on Day 1, but the player has the skillset to contribute in the NFL.

Nate Tice: Donovan Ezeiruaku doesn't have overwhelming size, but he's long (34-inch arms length) and is a disruptive pass rusher with a devastating swim move.
He is a productive player who can consistently affect the passer and has twitchiness and enough length to overcome his lack-of-ideal size.

Ezeiruaku can get smothered by larger offensive tackles, especially in the run game. While this might limit his every down projection at the next level, everyone loves pass rushers, and Ezeiruaku plays hard, is disruptive, has an pass rush arsenal already, and gets after the passer in a hur
Charles McDonald: Ezeiruaku is another player in this class who should be a strong addition to a team trying to bolster its pass rush. He isn't the biggest pass rusher out there (6-2 1/2, 248 pounds), but he's quick, explosive and has a nice array of moves to get home. He had a fairly similar combine performance to former Boston College edge rusher Harold Landry, who is a decent comparison for him moving to the pros.

So I think at this point WR is likely not in the cards but a RB in round 3 for a starter is still viable.

Not sure what the break is, vs what we picked up in FA. Or could there be a trade mid draft, 3rd for Breece Hall from the Jets. Proven NFL back but in the last year of his NFL contract

Jaylin Lane
WR

Pre-Draft Analysis
Lane put on a show at the combine, finishing in the top three for the receivers in the 10-yard split (1.5), 40 (4.34), broad jump (11 feet), vertical jump (40 inches), 20-yard shuttle (4.12) and 3-cone drill (6.75). He's a dynamic player who caught, ran, passed and returned a punt for a touchdown in 2024. He's excellent with the ball in his hands. He's quick with the speed to pull away when he gets a crease. Lane makes defenders miss, breaks tackles and follows his blocks. He flashes as a route runner and has the skill set to get even better. He's a natural pass catcher with big hands for his frame. -- Steve Muench
