The bottom line is we're not blocking anything, and our receivers aren't getting separation. That's why our offense looks the way it does. This isn't a play-calling issue today. We're getting whipped physically.
Don't believe anybody said to throw deep balls on 1st and 2nd down. We are trying to use the run to open up the pass and it is not working. Why not try bubble screens, slants, backs out of the backfield, or some other short pass on early downs to try and open up some running lanes.
Doubt it. I suspect after a few plays we'd be calling for 53 to go back in the game.BU77 said:
