I think UCF beats Baylor 8/10 times. I'd go Baylor, Houston, UCF, Cincy. Not a doubt in my mind we're the worst team I. The league which is pathetic considering it's G5 level this year

Time to move on to a new staff and deep into the portal. Briles is available. He has an exciting offense that talented athletes want to play in. Joey dominated. The recruiting group we brought in tonight will be interested in Tech. Doubtful we win more than one more this year. Time to shift gears.

I'm done with football until big big changes happen … aranda coaching style is something like a dead fish washed up on the banks of the Brazos river … and those mustard color uniforms? Makes us a Complete clown show . Adios McLain stadium until ?

I'm not saying things like technique couldn't use improvement, but far and away the main problem is we just don't have the players right now. When Dave does eventually get fired, I'll be curious to see what coaching candidates are actually interested in the job. Unless a big money person steps up with a blank check that includes some level of NIL commitment, I think it may be harder to attract a good coach than people think

CMR had the job looking very attractive when he left.

I agree....it's not going to be perceived the same way now that it was then. Especially if we wait one more year to pull the trigger and fall further down the P5 pecking order.

If losing to Tech is supposed to be expected, we are going in the wrong direction. The team was not ready, just like the rest of the year. Dave is failing.

Aranda brought us a special season in 2021, but that season -- as great as it was -- wasn't worth the long term cost IMO. Our football program has flatlined, and we'll likely spend at least one more season as a walking corpse -- digging the hole even deeper for our next coach.

Aranda is going to lose the locker room if it hasn't already happened. Sure feels like a lot of guys are just going through the motions. I imagine a lot of the players would like to play for a new coach even if they won't admit it publicly

Did he? Would Maguire or another coach gotten similar results? Seems Dave is not as good without the staff he inherited

I'm not going to lust after some other team's mediocre coach just because they would be a theoretical marginal upgrade over our bad coach.

I thought Shapen would be an upgrade. But GB seemed to manage the team better.

There are several "culture" mantras that build competitive Major college FOOTBALL programs. Polyanna bs ain't one of them. I cannot believe this "brand" being sold is completely the HC's doing.

And, big, badass line-men are the life blood of good progeams. There has never been enough to go around, so good luck with "developing" in this portal, NIL world. Grind it out football will not work at a school like Baylor. Good one's won't stay.

Every team, no matter how poor, has a good player or two.That won't cut it in big boy football. It's happening fast to many programs.

Jeremy fudge is a big money donor that has posted about NIL on the premium board, so you probably know better than us. But my guess is that it's mediocre at best. Aranda and Mack don't like the idea of money whipping individual players. For Mack, I honestly just don't think he likes the idea of players making money in general. with Aranda, he's terrified of ruining the Zen kumbaya atmosphere he created.

I think Baylor is still celebrating the huge comeback win last week but that being said, that was an embarrassing display today which is very disappointing but credit to Texas Tech, Tech was the better team today

They are not fixing the basics for 2 years now. The talking heads say the coaches are respected in CFB and need no defending. So, if it isn't coaches, isn't NIL. Isn't facilities. Only one thing left, the players. We have bad played. Huh, only place I have ever seen blame the 18-22 year olds if that is the case, get a Deion. Or not care if we are competitive.
