He's got 1 year left and wants to win and be on a bowl team - I don't blame him one bit. Everyone knows the problems this year ran deeper than a bad OC.

Sawyer Robertson. I'm not saying he's the right guy… but he's all we got now.
Wish him well, but best for both parties. He was out-played by every day 1 starter in the Big 12 this year. 46.6 QBR is abysmal even with our bad o-line. Best you could say is that he was risk-averse, but that came with its own issues.
We had bigger problems, but he was certainly one of them. Won't be that hard to find better out there. But like I said, wish him well at whatever G5 program he lands at.

And now the flood gates open. This was the most consistent player, when healthy, on the team. This was the guy you hung your hat on Dave. Good luck Blake and I hope you land where you can get a great chance to succeed.
I thought Sawyer looked pretty good the other night. We should try to get the QB2 at Texas, name escapes me.
All the best to this young man. Hope he lands somewhere great. Would love to see him play (in another conference) behind a line that protects him. Kid has heart and a competive edge that was wasted here.

Sure he could. But I think it stands to reason that Sawyer is a different case. He transferred to Baylor because of the Aranda culture. Maybe he leaves too who knows, but I think he'll stay.

Personally, I think he's a mid-tier qb at best, but here's a truth: the favorite player on any struggling offense is the 2nd string quarterback
What I saw recently in games was Shapen hitting receivers who were dropping passes when he wasn't running for his life. You are delusional or a propagandist.

In the TX ST game, fans were chanting "Sawyer" by the second quarter.
Never was a fan…slow progressions… didn't read field well…99/100 college QBs would have made the late 3rd down pass last year that would have iced TCU.

Don't get me wrong, I like him a lot and admire his courage, but this isn't a big loss.
I think Robertson was likely to beat him out in the spring.
Aranda is a moron. He's 100% the reason guys will leave. His culture, coaching, development are all garbage
He might have "layed it all out there" and "given everything he had" and "sacrificed his body for the team" and all that jazz - but at the end of the day - he was undersized, hung on to the ball too long and made a lot of bad reads. He just wasn't that good - Grimes hung his hat on em instead of GB. Didn't work out - best of luck to em - he's gonna need it.
