Good luck to him. I wonder if he sees that being in the Big 12, SEC, or Big 10 ? If so, he has a steep hill to climb.

We won't win one extra game with him than without him. Doesn't really matter.
Low football IQ right here.
He will do exactly what GBo did because they're on the same talent plane. Maybe go for a P5 tryout or two, sour on having to go in as a backup fighting for his spot and settle for a bad/mediocre G5 program looking for a day 1 starter where he can easily win the starting spot by August. And good on him if he can make that work.BEAR 45 said:

C. Jordan said:I also saw him off-target, missing open receivers, and trying to scramble like Patrick Mahomes when he has speed of Tom Brady, and getting sacked for big losses.soren said:
What I saw recently in games was Shapen hitting receivers who were dropping passes when he wasn't running for his life. You are delusional or a propagandist.
Don't get me wrong, I like him a lot and admire his courage, but this isn't a big loss.
I think Robertson was likely to beat him out in the spring.
Right back at you bro. I am100% accurate.soren said:JP1037 said:

I like Shapen but wished he'd set his feet and step into the pocket.

Aranda is a moron. He's 100% the reason guys will leave. His culture, coaching, development are all garbage
He never quite fully made the developmental switch from shortstop. He had trouble setting up in the pocket, mastering footwork, moderating his throw speed and pinpointing finesse balls. I understand why coaches were wooed by him, but I can guarantee you his HS scouting report as a baseball player first convinced a lot of programs who backed away that he would never fully make the transition. And I think they were right.Mitch Blood Green said:C. What pocket?

I agree that Shapen was not cutting it, but I encourage everybody to go look at our quarterback commit for this recruiting class and tell me with a straight face that he looks better
Unless there is a loophole that he could get through, he cannot go to the portal without having to sit out a year. You only get one freebie transfer, and he is not graduating I don't think.FrogEatingBear said:TinFoilHatPreacherBear said:FrogEatingBear said:No Quarterback said:
Question for Mack: How is going into 2024 with a terrible head coach, new offensive coordinator, and brand new quarterback a recipe for success, unless we're going to land Cam Newton in the transfer portal? Is that the plan?
Sawyer Robertson. I'm not saying he's the right guy⦠but he's all we got now.
Can he portal out?
Sure he could. But I think it stands to reason that Sawyer is a different case. He transferred to Baylor because of the Aranda culture. Maybe he leaves too who knows, but I think he'll stay.
Why would he leave now. He is QB1 at least until we sign some transfer.blackie said:Unless there is a loophole that he could get through, he cannot go to the portal without having to sit out a year. What winning programs are looking to add a QB who was the worst statistically in his conference?

Ridiculous!
That's my guess.Bull said:Bearwhiz said:

Are you saying Grimes was? (Serious question. Not sarcastic). I think the entire staff needed to go, (Grimes inckuded) but he did seem like the one that lit a fire at halftime of UCF and got the players to go shake hands after last gameā¦more of a leader than Aranda.
Man, I cant belive Aranda is still here! We are not serious about winning. Shapen can play with a little protection. I wish him well
