They have an overall winning record in them

I know it is a thing with several other schools (Iowa State and Illinois most recently) but I'd much prefer our BU logo to spelling out "Baylor" on the helmets too.

I don't know how it looked on tv, but the script was almost completely invisible under the lights in the stadium. Just looked like a big solid yellow ball.

One thing though, Yellow stands out real well for National audiences to see an inferior not ready for Prime Time team, recruiting, etc. Ninety percent of the time Baylor sucks on the big stage.

Loved the super dark green, almost black outfits. Might have been black. They really stood out.

And the old school all white with green stripes and white helmet with sailor bear

The script curse for sure. Ban it, ditch the yellow, make Baylor look like Baylor again. At least uniform wise.

Whitetrash remembers it differently than I do. He was saying Lilley's idea was block font. But I thought it was this cursive we used yesterday on yellow. I thought I remembered at the time thinking Lilley was trying to make us look like a Pitt but with green instead of royal blue.

Lilley's idea was block lettering spelling out Baylor (I think it was the former font that we used post-green Bear and before the switch to mustard), but the switch to mustard and ditching the interlocking BU were both his mandate. And it was easier and more prudent to ditch Lilly than ditch the BU.

I saw several folks wearing new apparel at the game with the cursive script Baylor. The only time we have used it in the past (other than baseball, where cursive is common) was on some basketball jerseys during the Vinnie Johnson era of the late 70s. But it looks like we are going to get cursive shoved in our face for the foreseeable future.

The block font we used pre 2019 mustard imposition was the best font we have used in my memory. In fact everything we had going pre 2019 going back even into the Morriss era was the best branding I have seen actually. I guess the actual bear we were using wasn't the best (growling bear of late 60s -97 was) but it was better than the bear now.

Oregon plays so well the yellow looks flashy. On Baylor it looks cheap. The script made the look even worse.
