I don't know how it looked on tv, but the script was almost completely invisible under the lights in the stadium. Just looked like a big solid yellow ball.

One thing though, Yellow stands out real well for National audiences to see an inferior not ready for Prime Time team, recruiting, etc. Ninety percent of the time Baylor sucks on the big stage.

Loved the super dark green, almost black outfits. Might have been black. They really stood out.

And the old school all white with green stripes and white helmet with sailor bear

Whitetrash remembers it differently than I do. He was saying Lilley's idea was block font. But I thought it was this cursive we used yesterday on yellow. I thought I remembered at the time thinking Lilley was trying to make us look like a Pitt but with green instead of royal blue.

Lilley's idea was block lettering spelling out Baylor (I think it was the former font that we used post-green Bear and before the switch to mustard), but the switch to mustard and ditching the interlocking BU were both his mandate. And it was easier and more prudent to ditch Lilly than ditch the BU.

I saw several folks wearing new apparel at the game with the cursive script Baylor. The only time we have used it in the past (other than baseball, where cursive is common) was on some basketball jerseys during the Vinnie Johnson era of the late 70s. But it looks like we are going to get cursive shoved in our face for the foreseeable future.

The block font we used pre 2019 mustard imposition was the best font we have used in my memory. In fact everything we had going pre 2019 going back even into the Morriss era was the best branding I have seen actually. I guess the actual bear we were using wasn't the best (growling bear of late 60s -97 was) but it was better than the bear now.

Oregon plays so well the yellow looks flashy. On Baylor it looks cheap. The script made the look even worse.

I was a fan of Kim, and respect all she did for baylor. Kim Orchestrated her move to lsu where she knew her nil budget would insure success.

I'm clearly in the minority on this board. I loved the yellow script helmets. (At first, I hated the yellow, but it's grown on me. Now I think shiny gold helmets are great, but it doesn't translate to other uniforms. We needed uniformity across all sports. So I'm fine with it now.)

No, we do not "need" uniformity across all sports.

Basic concept for the branding people. Use our colors GREEN AND GOLD. They are good colors.

Yellow is not gold. I do not like the script either but l could deal with that if the colors were correct.

Before I hear from Bauctalk, yellow is not gold no matter how many time you insist that it is.

Even if we did, the gold in fact did look great not only historically in football but also in softball, women's hoops and that year (the 13-14 season maybe) we used gold in men's hoops again. This going full blown Lilley which was just overwhelmingly rejected by Baylor folks in 08 when they were given input has been terrible.

I liked the script Baylor

Script is fine, yellow is terrible. Gold!!!!!

The script isn't really fine. That said it would be tolerable as an alt logo if it was a metallic green decal on gold helmet or vice versa
