Interesting perspective from Fleck about all the hats HCs are having to wear now. I can see why some of the old schools coaches didn't want to adapt or were slow to..or quit.

It's that you have to slobberknock the ball carrier or just deliberately punch the ball out to cause fumbles.......

Then, if that happens, you have to sacrifice your body to recover it instead of just observing the action......

That's a damn shame. He came up big against Houston, was the team's leading rusher after he was the last one standing. Powerful dude, the kind we could have used to grind out tough yardage.

I'd be excited to get Lagway just for poops and giggles, but the amount of players we are having to replace is ridiculous. I almost feel like there's no point in bothering with high school recruiting anymore

That's the new reality of college football. The coaching staff (IMO) have to do a better job of recruiting our own players.

I guess that's why teams are hiring GMs.

You could put Mahomes under center for the 2026 edition of Arandaball and they would have a losing record.

Is "TBD" some sort of a new abbreviation for "nobody"?

I agree with the Auburn model. If players truly believe they are "HIM" they would be willing to bet on themselves, make $40k this year for the promise of $2M next year at the same school, if they cook.
