the majority of these aren't losses
Jackson? Thomas? Dobbs? Johnson? Coleman? Jenkins? We were all told these were next level guys.
I see you have been on the premium side too much
who told you they were all
next level guys? Show us the receipts.
Jackson had promise but is not established at the P4 level and now has significant injury history.
BAW said "the majority", he didn't say Keaton wasn't a loss...we all know he is in fact
next level and that's why losing him would be painful if he does sign with someone else.
KJ had immense promise as an great H-back with WR's hands, but his health has held him back - I've touted his promise myself, but never said he was some sure-fire All-Conference player...and I think I'm his biggest cheerleader on either side of the board...even the SE365 staff hasn't talked him up much for a couple of years now.
Coleman was touted by the coaching staff but not much by anyone else, and he was slated to be a backup this year until the injury cascade forced him into a starting role. His poor run fits gave up several of the big play rushing TDs that were back breakers this year.
Jenkins had a great freshmen year, but hasn't shown any growth since then. Most of us thought he'd turn it
around up in '24. When that didn't really happen, I don't recall anyone claiming he was a surefire breakout player in '25 before the season, and clearly no growth occurred there during the season. Disappointing development-wise but not bad roster churn at this point.
So yeah, Thomas is the only really painful loss if he does leave - although I'd love for us to keep KB Winston and DK Kalu if the price is right for both sides.
But it's pretty clear you're going to fill your diaper publicly every chance you get until Dave is fired, so carry on.
