Paging… paging Bearknuckle!!
oh no, Saint Dave might not survive the season if DJ doesn't commit!
lmao. y'all really think it's Dave I'm invested in, not the Baylor Bears. Dead ass wrong.
Before Mack imploded, I said we needed to move on. I said so at the end of the '23 season too. But once Mack imploded, we would have had to hire an AD within two weeks to have that person turn around and hire an new HC within a two weeks for them to have two weeks to hire their staff and plan their roster/portal strategy.
That's a ridiculous timeline for decisions of that magnitude.
Michigan was able to do what they did with such apparent quickness because they (allegedly) knew they were firing both HC and AD for months.
I believe Baylor leadership expected to fire Dave at the end of the season while retaining Mack, but then that blew up. But honestly, that was probably for the best - not in terms of retaining Dave, but rather Mack needing to go to fully restore booster relations.
So we're in an ugly spot with no guaranteed quick fix.
By the Aranda hater logic regarding the 2021 season: we can be great with Dave as long as he's just HC, has two great coordinators, and has a great roster. Klanderman & Spav have more skins on the wall than Roberts & Grimes do. As for the roster...IU has proven that you can build a Playoff team out of unranked and 3-star transfers developed by other programs if they're right for your system.
I don't care ultimately if DJ is the QB or not, I just want Baylor to get back on track. Y'all are convinced that it's impossible for that to happen under Aranda, and I'm not (see above paragraph). But if we fire him today or in October or in December, I'll still bleed green and gold.
Just like y'all think I'm a deluded dumbass, this is the Fire-Dave-Now-on-January-9th Crowd to me:

I think you give Baylor WAY TOO MUCH credit on each and every point you make. Historically inept.
Your statement regarding caring if Lagway is the QB or not… one of your memes beg to differ.
I'm hoping he signs and becomes a big contributor, but, as always, Baylor seems to always miss. Billy Sims, Novasad, to name a couple covering 50 years and many others in between. Lagway may just be another one that got away.
