Most of his throws showed some amount of keyholing*, so he doesn't throw a 'perfect spiral', but most of them also showed great timing & placement.

If he has signed a new contract with Duke, which this late, I assume he has, Duke does not have to sign off on his entering the portal. This is what UW recently did.

When I left the Duke NIL world in July, I really thought one of the only things that could temper the craziness of college football was multi-year deals. That is exactly what Duke did with Darian Mensah. They did everything right. I hope they hold strong and get a 100% buyout.

If he doesn't enroll for the spring semester, I would assume he's ineligble to participate in spring ball and he wouldn't be able to join the team until July 12th. But as you say, who knows if you even have to be enrolled as a student anymore.

The NCAA is guilty of a loss of institutional control.

Making players enroll in classes and only granting them 5 years of eligibility is so 2025.

Time to rip off that band aid and grant them unlimited years of eligibility and remove the requirement to enroll in classes.

Still hooked as a fan (at least presently) but since the age of NIL and the portal began I keep hating where at this point so called "college sports" has gone more and more with each succeeding season.

Don't see how we aren't screwed next season with or without Lagway. The difference with him probably means going something like 4-8 at best, as opposed to 1-11 or 2-10 without him.

Agreed. Looking at our overall roster I can see more than 3-4 wins max. Probably more like 2. If Texas State wins more than 6 GJ Kinne will be the next head coach of Baylor University Football in December.

Even with Lagway, we have too many holes, and misfits to field a team. I feel like it will be a replica of this season. Really high then really low, and no in between...

I hope he goes to Duke or another school. Spend the money on DL and DE

Since the portal has CLOSED, my understanding is if Lagway signs with a different school after the closing date he could face some eligibility issues… could possibly have to sit out a year, depending on NCAA rules. It would be in his best interest to finalize his decision in the allotted transfer window to avoid complications.

Of course, if it was Baylor he's coming to the NCAA would probably give BU the Death Penalty… a Blue Blood (Duke BB) NCAA would just smirk probably.
