Sure it was. 2021, the greatest season in Baylor history never really happened.

Back to back Big12 champs, Heisman, swagger. Undisputed best era of baylor football

The guy is a genius on that side of the ball. The way he transformed our offense into just running after we lost all 3 starting QBs that one season---wow.

Genius? A genius does not try to go through a Big 12 season with 3 QBs (actually only 2 real QBs) letting these QBs lower their heads and try to run over the defense. A quick check of other Big 12 rosters showed them carrying 4, 5 even 6 QBs that season.

Transforming our offense? A 7th grade junior high coach would have done that "transforming" prior to the TCU debacle where our scrub high school part time QB is trying to wing it downfield in a small hurricane against a Toad defense that was forced to play with 3 or 4 freshmen due to injuries. Follow that with a game of throwing it up for grabs versus one of, if not the, worst Longhorn teams in modern history.

Finally the 7th grade genius light bulb came on vs. UNC. Finally!

It's impossible for me to let go. 46 years is like a month to me. Going around in circles is fun for me. I'd be willing to go another 46 years if I had them.

That's clearly obvious. Everyone but himself.

Cut Thee some slack. He needs a little diversion from his helpless compulsion to repeat himself endlessly. Maybe someone can drive him over to Llano tonight to watch Burnet and Llano renew their long rivalry.

The greatest season in Baylor history includes a loss to biggest rival TCU who was without a head coach and playing their backup QB and didn't even make a bowl game?

No comment on the game, as I didn't watch it (evidently very exciting, though). Rather, a question for the posters crowing over a moral victory whilst simultaneously complaining about results on the field at Baylor. Do you not see the slightest bit of irony there?

Are we crowing over a moral victory, or just celebrating a game in which nobody nodded off or agonized over lackadaisical play on the field? I'm in the latter category.

Imagine being an ENMU alum. Not just a fan like me. That hope that tonight brought.

We're talking legit hope and the results that will come. Not aggy hope in September hope. Real Art MF Briles hope

Shame on Baylor and their pious hypocrites.

New Mexico Highlands went 6-5 last year

And ENMU was 3-8.

But, but, but, but ENM can't be beaten! It can't happen.

Nobody said that.

ENMU has been down and, for one game at least-maybe more, is moving up.

Baylor was on top and has been trending down for quite some time.

One school appears to be directionally sound.

One school has no direction or leadership

I see no irony at all.

I know it's hard to let go. 10 years is a long, hard time. 455 miles at a 7 hours drive is tough on you. Are you willing to go another 10 years? 5 years?

Nice melt.
Celebrate his loss this week, you won't have many more soon

Fun game. 7 TD's by both teams. Tough One pt loss. 35-34. Art doesn't have a skilled QB yet. The QB was wildly inaccurate at times. The team had over 220 yards rushing though.QB missed several wide open receivers for big gains.
Art's big mistake was the fake extra pt try for the win. Should have just lined up for a 2 pt conversion try. Good to see him coaching.
