I'd like to be tied. But had it worked (and it was quite likely the way offense had played) and resulted in a TD, we would all celebrate and many would congratulate CDA for having guts.

More than once is far too many
That is a weak effing targeting call.
I have always said if you need 10 points or 3 to tie you ALWAYS kick the field goal if close enough. You can score a TD from anywhere, but field goal range is limited. But many coaches don't do that. Its not just an Aranda thing.

That type of play was just not high percentage on 4th down or any other, with what Baylor has been showing all day.
Better idea would be to at least line up and try to draw an offsides. Or call a better option type play.
