Best quote I've seen in years. You've spent literally years, pages after pages (current threads as we speak), hundreds if not thousands of posts, an untold amount of your time/life telling us how much you "don't care about Briles". You, THEE, and a few other simpletons are obsessed.

He owns you. It's literally a guarantee that you will spend years more obsessed over Briles.

Will this thread cause the BoR to send out the bat signal? Does it trigger Keyser to come represent and earn that check? It's convenient when he shows up.

Soft hands, when I m on a computer 10 hours a day, it's not hard to click over and splash the truth on you weak minded gullieble gated community club folks supporting our former regime.

The Board of regents aren't big fans of me. I helped embarrass them by letting them know that Willis main product line was giving people an artificial orgasism

X just likes to argue. If it wasn't Briles, it'd be something else. That's what happens when you're a retired geriatric.

Let me elucidate X's schtick. He takes a "common sense", "folksy" approach to an argument in the absence of facts. Then, once facts come to light, he'll walk things back and say he was still "right" somehow. This is not new. He's normally a fence rider. And he's convinced he'll never be wrong because he can compare everything to something that happened/exists in Oklahoma.

I literally just summed up every post X has had on Bfans/Sicem.

I mean everybody has to acknowledge that Art and his staff are culpable of something. I never thought they were covering up rapes. Still don't. But they definitely were trying to hide the drinking and drugs from JA. Not really a revelatory experience in college athletics. They brought in SOME bad dudes and didn't do a good job keeping them out of trouble. No doubt about that and I've made my feelings known on the kids that shouldn't be in any college setting. Things snowballed and the regents freaked out and succumbed to the pressure. Really poor choices were made during the scandal.

But, like it's been said, this was a university problem. Baylor knew it. Some guy on Baylorfans wrote something like, "You guys are going to regret not making this a football problem." Something like that. Definitely someone connected to the BOR. They knew it was a university problem and they knew it went back decades. Baylor embarrasses me as an alum far too often. The reason is that so many of the people in charge are terrible at hiring. I've spoken with countless professors at Baylor and money is a huge issue. Baylor expects people to take a pay cut because of GOD. Baylor has to be a calling and not a profession. It teeters on cultishness. However, there are plenty of good, NORMAL people that work at Baylor and they all sort of shake their head like I do from time to time. We need people like that in charge and not the ultra conservative loonies. And we need the mega donors to open up the pocketbook for intelligent, qualified professors and staff.

BTW, it's almost guaranteed McCaw is right on this. Briles will be "largely" exonerated. As in, the NCAA will find out that he's not responsible for covering up rapes. They'll ding him for something, but they won't give him a show cause. And then all the opinion writers will barely walk back what they wrote or stay quiet. It doesn't matter to them that they blew this up.

Yeah, I can see the NCAA saying "Oh, you were just protecting your players who were involved in other criminal activity? Maybe padding some grades? Helping Josh Gordon avoid rehab? That's soooo much better.

Hope to god it's not an attorney with criminal law experience, because if they believe in broken windows theory, they may not be so forgiving.

Yeah there's that.

Even if this forum pretends that (1) it's not in Ian's best interests to support Briles [which it is] and (2) that Ian has somehow provided new information here [which he has not], it's important to reflect on what "largely exonerated" means. In this particular context, it is generally interpreted to mean innocent for the most part, and innocence of that nature is not really innocence.

As a result, the takeaway here is that a man that benefits from supporting Briles who has no new information has indicated that he does not believe that Briles will be fully exonerated. If that is true [which it is], it does not appear to be news worthy.

Criminal is a bit of a stretch. Drinking and drugs, specifically. The NCAA isn't touching the sexual assault aspect with a 10 foot poll. The NCAA's problem is that they don't mandate (can't) a school's drug/alcohol testing.

They'll slap his hands for the grades. What would you like to bet the NCAA's main target is "failure to monitor" which they won't get with Baylor's response. Ian and company were working on a plan i.e. flying up to South Bend to put something together.

Briles' hands will be slapped for minor stuff. The lawyers that Baylor hired know the NCAA is just putting on a show. They'll win. We'll move on. Maybe some fines?

So for just a tutor completing course work...Mizzou was hammered with postseason bans, recruiting restrictions, vacation of records, and a show cause slapped on the tutor.

And that's with no Lack of Institutional Control and failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance labels that our program and Briles have been handed. So some of y'all can keep whistling past the graveyard about Briles and keep pretending he will be exonerated, those labels are not a good thing for a program or a former HC to have. I am hoping the NCAA sees the changes we have made and takes that into consideration.

Lack of Institutional Control. Failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance. That's already been decided. On Baylor and on Briles. Mizzou had none of those and still got blasted. What they found I am sure we will find out soon, but those are not good labels to be handed by the NCAA. I am not worried because I am hoping the NCAA will see the changes Baylor has done, but I am not believing one bit Briles is going to come out of this looking clean. Nothing points to that other than message board wishes from some diehards on here.

I'm not far from your position.

1. Art wasn't perfect. He should have had a more disciplined approach. But that was no different than TCU, UT, OU or any 50 other P5 programs. Drug rings, abuse, "thugs" were in other programs during the exact same timelines. It's no excuse. But reality is most of those kids were great kids. We only highlight the bad apples because it fits the trolls narrative

2. He did not cover up or allow rape. This is a media driven hype and accusation and only the most extreme trolls on here propagate and repeat. (THEE, X, MV,). This is a crime. He'd of been arrested. It's NEVER been suggested in any forum of credibility.

3. This was a university wide problem. Our BoR panicked in how it was handled and went into personal "cover our ass" mode when the media started blowing it up. They fed into their trap. Even their own report showed conflicts of interest, meddling, lack of control by our BoR. No different than what they fired Briles for. They could have all come together, said "we are Baylor, we will fix these problems and be better". Football could have implemented same process as the school, and all point to a "new and improved". Instead they started pointing fingers for the same things they did and it's cost us hundreds of millions.

4. The trolls want to say "this story" is written. "Public Opinion" has spoken. Like that has any relevance of "facts". Briles has been under a confidentiality agreement, only one version has been told, and the only investigation was done and paid for by a BoR and with no transparency or even documentation to see...outside their self written FoF. Now we start seeing independent processes play out. Testimony under oath, depositions, etc tell a wider version of the story. Add the NCAA investigation (we will see what the results say, but I'm VERY confident it will not include cover up of rape etc) and the story over time becomes much more clear. What the trolls ultimately have working against them is what they counted on in the beginning. The media. The media LOVES a scandal, but they love a comeback story even more. Art will be the "comeback" story, Baylor will be the new focus of a scandal. If for no other reason, than it's the university is the bigger fish to fry now and they need the clicks.

Everyone should be for truth and facts. Those take years to come out. When someone tries so hard to tell you "the story is over"..that's a sure sign of an agenda.

The fair thing to do is give Baylor credit for what it has done to burn itself down including the unprecedented financial penalties the conference handed down (no conference has ever done that) and give Briles credit for the time he has been unemployable toward his show cause and call it time served for everyone and allow everyone to move on.

Funny how this goal post has moved. It used to be "the staff". You said the same about Baby Briles, yet he has become one of the highest paid offensive coordinators on a P5 team has blown your credibility once again.

Baby Briles is a d bag working for Florida State's version of Oklahoma's John Blake. He isn't one of the highest paid coordinators. A million is nothing in the Deep South for a coordinator.

I love to post stuff to antagonize you robe touchers. Last time I Baby Briles, Army was choking out his offense after another Briles veer spread quarterback was hurt in that quarterback killing offense.

Permanant ban?? I doubt that when Erickson has been allowed to coach at several places after operating an SMU of the 80s at Miami in the 90s and then Coker was allowed to coach again with something similar in the 00s at Miami. Not to mention several others who were never banned for life.

You really think Briles is comparable to Erickson or Coker? It helps that they knew how to schedule and worked well with others to make college football stronger.
No I dont. Those guys (at least Erickson) really were dirty. That's my point if Erickson could coach again then there is no permanant ban on Briles. That is just your fantasy.

That's a great diatribe on your personal OPINION. But it doesn't change the FACT that you were wrong..again...and have an */excuse for it every time.

Fact: He is one of the highest paid offensive coordinators on a big time named P5 program.

Fact: you were wrong

You can keep all juvenile "robe touchers" names etc. it's all you have. I stick with FACTS

Do yourself a favor. Just stop.

Compared to Art, those guys look like precious alter boys. You don't think letting and encouraging high schoolboys to use roids is unethical and not clean?

You cannot silence us. Maybe your thoughts and comments scare the gated community boys but you won't stop us from posting.
You need worry about putting that $10k reward in writing. We might have a winner.
