It has everything to do with Briles, are you stupid? Art was blamed for recruiting him. Art was indirectly blamed for his alleged SA. Oakman was a big part of the entire narrative against Briles. The media linked Briles and Oakman. Every article about how bad Art is included Oakman as exhibit A. Shall I go on? Or is this not enough? This acquittal blows up in the face of the Wall Street Journal BOR lie. Oakman was exhibit A for Briles bad team management and behavior, and now it's has gone poof. Are we clear now?

I will give you media conspiracy - without a doubt. Oakman was the poster boy for the "rape-enabling head coach," I get that. But, Oakman's (or any other player's) guilt or innocence was never the point of the PH investigation or the basis for Art's termination. Oakman's acquittal proves nothing on that front, and neither would his conviction.

My presumption on the long delay on this case was that it was strategic and intentional to wait until things died down some in the public arena, so as to get a better chance for a fair trial. As his whole life was on the line, waiting would be prudent. But that's just a guess.

I am now completely against anything Brenda Tracy and anything related to her nasty movement. She will really burn herself out if she tries to go after Oakman when he returns to football. He was found not guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers. 8 of the 12 jurors were women. The trial lasted 1.5 days then the jury deliberated for 2 hours. Unanimous verdict - not guilty.

I think the judge kicked her case out. I don't think it ever went to court....unless I'm getting her case confused with another one

Had Oakman entered the draft after his Junior year he'd have been a 1st rounder I think, but after his lackluster senior year I really doubt it. He had bad technique and quit on plays. This trial cost him a chance to maybe play in the NFL, but saying it cost him millions is a huge stretch.
