Baylor Men's Basketball Named No. 3 Seed In West Region
Baylor Men’s Basketball team has been named the No. 3 seed in the West Region by the NCAA Tournament selection committee on Sunday evening. The Bears are the No. 9 overall seed in the tournament. The No. 1 seed in the region is North Carolina and the No. 2 seed is Arizona.
Baylor will play its first two games of the NCAA Tournament in Memphis, Tennessee and is set to face No. 14 seed Colgate in the round of 64 on Friday. With a win over Colgate, Baylor would face the winner of No. 6 seed Clemson and No. 11 seed New Mexico in the round of 32.
The Bears finished the regular season third in the Big 12 conference and four games behind regular-season champion Houston. Baylor dropped its semifinal matchup against Iowa State in the Big 12 Tournament to enter the big dance with a 23-10 overall record.
Over the last five seasons, Baylor has amassed a 126-33 overall record and a 64-22 record in Big 12 play.
