They contested both 3s before the inbounds play, but you've got to pull down a rebound. You can't give a team three shots at it, especially one as talented as A&M.

That team is loaded with offensive talent, even if the results haven't necessarily matched.

Got to give the Coogs a lot of credit - with all the foul outs. I thought they were done when it went to overtime but they flat gutted it out.

What a win for the Coogs. When Sharp went down, I thought their goose was cooked. But they got some solid contributions from deep, deep bench guys.

They've been doing it all year.

Our fans love to trash Houston and Gonzaga. But both are making a habit of extending their seasons into the second weekend (and beyond) while our boys hit the couch.

How did both teams choke? Left when Uh had an 8 point lead with little time left. And how on earth did A&M choke in OT against a roster that would be borderline top 75 after the foul outs.

1983 Houston was one of the greatest college basketball teams of all time and they lost the championship game to one of the weakest champions of all time in NC State.
Phi Slamma Jamma should have won 2 or 3 titles after going to 3 consecutive Final Fours......instead they choked.
This years Houston team is their best chance at a National Title since Hakeem, and Clyde Drexer were at UH.

I was doing a reverse jinx...which worked.......because the ending of regulation was a choke.
I would have been beyond pissed if I was a Cougar fan, and the best team we've had in 40 years almost loses in the 2nd round to a 9th seeded A&M team.....in a game where they were up 81-69 with 2 minutes left in the game.

Im glad Houston won....but this was almost an epic choke.

A&M never had a chance to choke. Sharp hit a 3-pointer to open overtime and Houston led the rest of the way.

A&M hit a crazy 3 at the buzzer and UH was up a decent amount when Shead fouled out (maybe 6) and A&M had to foul. Bench guys had one good rebound and put back but mostly just had to get fouled and shoot FTs
