Tennessee Transfer Wing Cameron Carr Commits to Baylor
Tennessee wing Cameron Carr has committed to Baylor after entering the transfer portal on Dec. 23. He is the first transfer portal addition for the Bears 2025 class.
The 6-foot-5 prospect has been out of the lineup since Nov. 17 after undergoing surgery on his left thumb. He had begun practicing but decided to enter the transfer portal instead of returning this season, allowing him to use this season as a redshirt year.
In four games this season, Carr averaged 4.8 points, 1.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds while playing just 10.5 minutes per game. He shot 40% from beyond the arc and 77.8% from the free-throw line.
He played in 14 games as a true freshman but only averaged four minutes per game as the Vols made a run to the Elite Eight before falling to National runner-up Purdue 72-66.
Carr played high school basketball at Link Academy (MO) under current Baylor assistant coach Bill Armstrong. Carr was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2023 class and ranked as the No. 54 prospect in the nation per 247 Sports.
He chose Tennessee over offers from Louisville, Kansas State, Virginia, Boise State and Northwestern.
He has three years of eligibility remaining and sports a 7-foot-2 wingspan.
