Only if VJ isn't out for a while unfortunately.

Wright has got to start going forward

And Omier with 16 boards is absolutely crazy!
Wright's been starting for weeks.

We have seven losses. TCU and BYU being the other two.

Good sign that he was back on the court walking for hand shakes. Looked to me like he told one of the KU coaches that he was OK.

Sorry, 5 of our losses will have been to top 25 teams.

Unreal. Need to get Vj healthy quickly (hopefully no break) and Roach to replace Nunn and we might have something. Hopefully whatever Omier's feeling starts to improve too. Too much talent not to play spoiler in this league

For all the staffs faults, Drew has always been excellent at 2nd half adjustments/motivation. That and set inbounds plays are his biggest strengths.

101-63
77-62
76-72
74-55
81-70

5 losses (4 by double digits) to Top 25 now, although it is likely to fall to 4 after UConn plays at Marquette tonight. If they lose they will fall out. That would eliminate the 1 single digit loss.

I give Drew a ton of credit for this team's resilience. I agree the roster construction in the off-season missed big - needed one more big man who could have added 10-15 minutes/game.

But, this team is winning tough games with a 6.25 man rotation. Completely nuts and you have to give Drew credit for that resiliency. They don't give up when most teams would.

With the benefit of hindsight the first three or four pages of this thread are pure comedy.

Omier was really good in the second half. Hopefully that will get him back on track.

My favorite aspect of Scott Drew-coached teams is their fight. His teams never, ever quit, no matter how bad things get or look.

In fairness, the first-half effort was absolutely dreadful.

Props to Drew and Co. for finishing much, much stronger than they started.

Yourmark has certainly dialed up a fun conference season..

And that doesn't include the fireworks in Tempe and Houston tonight.

One other thing worth noting is that we are developing a really strong homecourt advantage.

As bad as the first half was, I felt confident that we'd have a chance if we could just get it close enough to put some pressure on them -- solely because of our crowd and its energy.

Not at all. Still pretty poorly coached team and the first half was an embarrassment. Fortunately Wright is a very special player and our staff excels at second half adjustments

Went to the driving range at halftime and stayed away from my phone.

Just finished watching the second half. Hot damn. What in incredible comeback. We desperately needed that W.

Hope VJ can bounce back quickly.

It's a Very specific compliment on strategy after teams give you certain looks. Doesn't mean well coached overall.

Again, What about the terrible starts for years, the pathetic defensive fundamentals, the sporadic high effort, the constant miscommunication, the lack of ball security.

It's still a poorly coached basketball team overall but nobody needs to be unnecessarily negative after a historic comeback. Great win and giving credit that Drew usually makes decent adjustments (mainly on offense) at half.

I get on some of our fans for being clueless clowns sometimes, but I went over to the KU board to read their game thread tonight. Some of their fans are calling for Bill Self to step down. Seriously. So, as bad as we are, we could be worse.

It was fun reading KU fans giving Drew props as a coach, even if they were doing it primarily to diss Self.

This board is mild compared to a good amount of fan boards across the country. Kentucky, UNC, LSU, Arky, Tech, Michigan St, Illinois, State to name just a few
I'm in a group chat with a big group of my buddies from college. There was multiple Fire Otzelberger texts at 3:15 today.

People complain about a few empty seats at Foster.

I've been to one game. The Cincinnati game last year..I tell all my friends it's the loudest building I've been in. And I was a Reunion Rowdy when the Mavs were good in the late 80s.

The announcers commented several times how.deafening it got.
