No sane person thinks this is a tournament team. It was obvious after Memphis that it was a bubble at best team. The TXU loss sealed their fate as a NIT at best team.
Ok good. A couple weeks ago people were talking about us getting in. We didn't look good then either.

In fairness, we've played by far the most difficult SOS in conference play so after tonight the schedule on paper becomes more games against teams similar to Ok St quality instead of top of the conference quality for the next 2-3 weeks. But we're probably not gonna do any better than .500 against those schools and pick 4 or 5 more wins because we're too inconsistent and simply don't play good enough D to go on a 8 game unblemished steak winning both on the road and at home.
Like Iowa said, the Memphis game made it evident we were in for a challenge to be a tournament team, the TCU loss put us in a hole and the limited competitiveness against good teams has already been noticed by pretty much everyone else in the basketball media.

This team is just brutally bad. There's no two ways about it. We get blown out every time we play a good Big 12 team.
Scott Drew has no idea how to build a roster in the modern era.

I get the challenges of restocking an entire roster (while also acknowledging our own role in creating that problem), but I don't understand how we evaluated a couple of these guys and thought they could compete at the highest level of the Big 12, how we thought we could go into the year without an experienced true PG and how we could have stacked an entire roster with such limited defensive skills. I think we must have fallen in love with the great "measurables" .

Sorry for all the negative posting tonight. This is just disgusting and I can't help myself.
I'm out.

I never thought we'd be back to being a Big 12 bottom-feeder under Drew, but here we are. This team doesn't even belong on the court with these teams we're playing.
Home ... road ... doesn't matter. This team just sucks.

Don't blame you. I'm gone too. Maybe there's something like a Seinfeld rerun I can watch for the 50th time.
