I think it would be hard to find something better than the den, or maybe the cave.
I am going to miss the nipple though. I thought it looked great while driving down university park and from aerial shots.
I also always liked it from the inside. It wa just the concourses that need major work.

We already have a "bear pit." Bears actually live in it.
You can always update the faces later on. It's the bones and the interior that is the trick. But I think they've nailed it.

If we want the name pit we can take it from them.

We can't just take "The Pit" name. We need to make it our own. It looks like there's a lot of glass in the renderings which will probably let in a lot of light. We also have the highlighter uniforms going for us as well.
If you ask me, it's the Lighthouse.
Would like the school to recognize Drew and Kim somehow as well

If you don't know about "the pit" or the New Mexico lobos you need a refresher course in college hoops!! That's a very tough place to play! And their fans put Baylor fans to shame !

Not sure how many here know it, but the Ferrell has an exact twin in Hawaii. When the Lady Bears played there, in 2012, I believe, that info was given out as part of the game buildup. Designed by same guy, same plan. Except for the gold color, the outside and inside exactly the same, including concourses and placement of tunnels, etc. It was, frankly, a little weird....

The "habitat" was nicknamed the pit for decades. Chamber used to have "Pit" every week there. When people ask where the bear "pit" is, you send them to the "habitat."
