a pair of exhibition games for the 2019-20 season.
The Lady Chaparrals will play NCAA Division I:
Oct 28 Texas
Oct 30 Baylor

The scheduling marks the 2nd consecutive season the Lady Chaps will play a pair of NCAA Division I opponents.

LCU is a strong D2 program. They had an undefeated national champion in 2015-16 and last season went 31-2 losing in elite eight to the eventual national champion. In some ways they are a throwback with their roster predominately small town players.

This one is turning into a real bricklaying contest. If either of these teams shoots like that in Waco we win by 35. Oklahoma State used all their good shooting mojo against us. And Joyner Holmes is a turnover machine. Just keep her in front defensively and she'll commit a charge or throw the ball away.

"Bridget Carleton, who had 34 points and 10 rebounds for Iowa State (18-6, 8-4), cut the deficit to 55-52 entering the fourth quarter but Heard's basket followed by a 3-pointer, pushed the lead to eight in the opening minute.

An Ashley Joen's 3 and Carleton's 3-point play, followed by Kristin Scott's 3 after a Heard basket, made it a one-point game.

But the Cyclones couldn't get over the hump because they were 5 of 20 from the field in the fourth quarter, making just 1 of 7 to close the game.

Yes they did...but the officials were calling a lot of fouls on us that in other games have been judged as blocks...I will say though that TCU attacked inside more than almost any other team.

I agree the fouling was....loosely called...? But to TCU's credit, their coach worked the refs (to the point of a tech being issued) and they forced the issue. That is usually OUR game!
