Stanford feels like fools gold to me. Somewhat like last year. I don't see them going far in March

I'm still trying to figure how they allowed USC super frosh JuJu Watkins to score 51 points a few games back.

Was it you that was saying she scored like all but 12 of their points or something like that in that game?

I think Stanford can beat anyone. They can also, as they've proven, lose to anyone.

Teams that can limit Brink will more than not handle them. I think they'll get bounced early again. Just one's opinion though

They are the most one dimensional they have been in years.

Kansas beat KSU today. That pretty much guarantees that OU or UT wins the regular season.

We need to have KSU beat ISU on Wednesday to give ISU a 7th loss. If we can win out we would finish 5th. Don't really see WVU losing to OSU or TCU, but anything is possible in this league. If they would lose we would finish 4th.....but all is moot if we don't win out. Regardless of what happens the possibility grows larger that we and WVU are going to end up next to each other in the standings one way or another (4th and 5th).......oh Joy....have to beat them a third time.

Beat Cincinnati and OSU and see what happens. KU still has to play OU. We could end up anywhere from 4th to 7th, although if we ended up with KU with 7 losses, we might have a tie breaker since we split with them, but beat a higher ranked team than them (UT). Haven't looked at the tiebreakers.

Someone reported Prince is back forTCU. If true, maybe we have a chance.

They did beat Houston yesterday and Prince played 31 minutes with 15 points and 6 rebounds. So yes, she appears back, but they do play WVU in Morgantown. We just need to win and take whatever seed we get, but yes, there is hope for something better than 6th

Yea, whether we are 4 or 5 - we'll be facing each other in the third round. Would be nice to rest the legs a bit, but hopefully the ladies are ready with whatever seed we are able to secure. The two losses we experienced in the final minutes of games we lead by double digits might come back to haunt us in regards to seeding, but hopefully we've learned from them and can close out games in March!

Lots of Top 25 losses today!
#22 Louisville loses to unranked VA 73-68
#7 USC downed by #18 Utah 74-68
#9 OR State lost to unranked WA 61-51
#10 KS State beat by unranked KS 58-55

And halfway through Q4, unranked Duke up by 20 on #6 NC State 43-23

Crazy!

Based on one theory, the 5 seed has an advantage against the 4 seed because they have already played a game. The tired legs show up in the next round though

Beyond the Big12 tourney, what we really need is to get into the top 16 for the ncaa tourney. We are 19 in the ncaa net after games on Feb24. We just need to move up three more spots there

Yea, but the 5 seed plays a game against a lower seed that has already played. As the 4 seed we are one upset away from playing a team who is on their third game in three days. I like those odds, no matter who we are playing. I also don't want to get TCU after they are "warmed up" Granted they aren't the same team with Owens, but Prince is well rested and likely hungry for some points.

It's fantastic to see the Longhorns denied a share of their last shot at a regular season Big 12 Conference championship, when it looked for all the world like they had this game wrapped up until the very end.

Sweet, sweet UT tears...

Have no idea how I managed to hit the "mad" button for my mood emoji. Actually I'm extremely happy about the result of that game. Sure wish Kansas State had played better for us tonight...

k-state - particularly yokie lee - is a but a shadow of its former self. she's maybe 40%. gabby gregory has been hurt all year and like lee is having an awful time of it. from preseason unranked, beating iowa in their crib, to #2 in the country, and now maybe full circle unranked going into post season. it's been a really sad scene to watch unfold up here over the past few months.

I think they'll hang onto a ranking. Biggest concern for KSU is staying in the top 16 for hosting purposes. Tonight's reveal will be telling

I think UT could wind up being the only B12 team to host although OU may get boosted up with their two wins over UT. I just felt UT was not deserving of their high ranking especially without Harmon...they did keep winning though and Booker is the real deal.

I think BU could sneak in with a strong showing in the conference tourney. I think KSU, is done though.

BU is gonna need a lot to go their way imo to host. But you never know. I do think Tx and OU are the best chances at hosting.

Agreed...but if BU wins the tourney or makes it to the finals there is a bit of a chance to sneak up to 16...

There are just so many teams which are going to lose one or two more games along the way and into their respective conference tourneys. I think the parity after #1 is real this year...pretty much 25-30 teams that on any given night could beat anyone else and have been doing it all season except for #1.

It would be nice to see how they would have played with Harmon. I do not downplay her importance. But with her, they still can only put 5 on the court at a time. I am not familiar enough with their lineup to know who would come out. But if she goes on the court the first thing that has to happen is that she has to make up for that person's absence before you can start "adding" to their game because she is there. I.E. would Booker have had the impact she has had? Just a what if that can never be demonstrated or answered.

I am no Longhorn lover, not even close, but with all the parity going on out there today, I would not discount their ability to do quite well in March.

Freshman Madison Booker took Harmon's minutes. Took her a few games but she really came into her own and generated quite a bit of production for them. If both are healthy next year they will be tough

Biggest question mark for them is ball pressure. Booker doesn't have the hands that Harmon did. And she has a tendency to turn the ball over quite a bit. For Texas it will
All be about matchups. But they have FF potential. Might be the only Big 12 team who can realistically get there.
