Yeah, the Cards played well in their division series, but the Nationals pitching shut them down in the LCS.GoldMind said:Aliceinbubbleland said:

They're good

I guess the question for the nationals is whether they will be well rested, or rusty, or both, for the World Series. Looks like they will be sitting for a while.

The 07 Rockies had to sit for 8 days...and we all know how that turned out
I think you are correct. May it be so.Oldbear83 said:Chin up, GM.GoldMind said:Leonidas said:

Astros got 0 runs in game 1 against NY, 3 in game 2, and now 4 in game 3 in the BigWormyApple.
If the bats get going to match the starting pitchers, the Astros will dominate straight through to the WS title.

Same decision as was made for Game 7 of the 2011 WS (postponing it 6 hours before any rain was predicted to arrive). Of course Bud Selig's decision allowed the Cards to start Carpenter when he wouldn't have been available if the game had been played when originally scheduled.sahen said:
Decision already made to postpone the game tonight until tomorrow. Seems a bit early to make that decision considering the reliability of weather forecasts. Hopefully, it actually does poor down tonight as I don't like the fact that it helps the Yankees pitchers get rest after being used up yesterday with an expected bullpen game tonight.

Game 4 will now be a redo of Game 1 with Greinke against Toaka... Game 5 a redo of Game 2, with Verlander against Paxton.

Time for Greinke to earn his money and show he was worth the price of the trade.

Maybe we should wait a couple of innings.

Springer Dinger
Wasted opportunity following the home run.... 1st and 3rd with no one out and we get nothing more.... 3-1 Good Guys
Wanted more, may still have the chance to add on later.D. C. Bear said:JusHappy2BeHere said:

Needed to add on.
Yeah, that was making me talk to the TV ...JusHappy2BeHere said:
What is up with the Strike Zone?
Bottom of the 1st if it's a nanometer off the plate its a ball, then Bottom of the third Greinke is getting pitches 6 inches inside called a strike....
if he'd had that zone in the first, the Yanks don't come close to a run.
That was not a walk, it was a gift.JusHappy2BeHere said:
Greinke throws a pitch 86 mph middle, middle to Judge and not only does he take it, but the plate umpire calls is a ball.... 99 eventually walks and ends Greinke's night.... 2 on 1 out in the bottom of the 5th

Time to gut it up and get the outs without letting the Yanks score.
