It's a shame these home crowds can't see their own teams win at home. Do the Astros come back to Houston tonight ? I will be cheering for y'all.

Well I don't want to see the nationals win. So no I don't feel sorry for them. Sorry, that was a little deceiving. I just want Houston to see some wins at home! Especially the title game.

There will be a game 6 in Houston, and maybe a game 7.

Yep. I'm sure the Nats were salivating at the prospect of feasting on a rookie pitcher until he shut them down for five terrific innings. I was really looking forward to a serious pitching duel between two of the years' best pitchers.

Anyway, time to drain the swamp.

Umpire missed two calls on full count to last two batters in the bottom of seventh. Called a walk on strike three and a strikeout on ball four. Evens out.

Not really. Screwed the pooch on two straight batters.

Pretty sure Astros blew it. In Greinke we trust but I don't have a lot of faith.

Don't feel great about game 7, but if you had offered me game 7 after game 2, I would have taken it. We'll see.

Astros have one of the better home field advantages as far as noise and fan engagement in the league but for whatever reason they cannot take advantage of it in the World Series.

Astros all time World Series record at Minute Maid: 2-6
Astros all time World Series record on the road: 5-4

Doesn't really make sense. Could also mean we are due to win one at home.

I think Greinke will be fine. What we need is our bats to get hot again. A lot of what happened last night was Strasburg, but it looked to me like we put pressure too much on ourselves, like Altuve with men on 2nd and 3rd thinking he had to get a home run to brings runs in.

Did Strasburg miss some time this year or have his innings limited. I heard on the radio this morning that Verlander leads the lead in innings thrown this year, and observation was that he was just gassed even as he started the game. Same "analyst" also said he thought Greinke and Scherzer were both tired as well, and was surprised that Scherzer was up twice throwing in the bullpen last night.

Astros need to get past their home trend of scoring in the first inning and then shutting down the bats.

Lots of bad karma flowing last night. Hopefully we got it all behind us.

What happened last night was actually pretty common to this WS. Cole, Verlander, and Strasburg all had early trouble in games 1-2 during the first inning, but nailed down their control after that.

The problem with Verlander was that we kept him in an inning too long, something that has happened a fair amount with him late this season. We could overcome that if we'd been able to get to the Nats' bullpen in the 6th or 7th inning, but Strasburg worked into the 9th last night.

Scherzer is good, but not 'Strasburg' good. The question is which Greinke shows up. If we get the most recent version I like our chances to keep the Nats from scoring a lot, but we absolutely have to score on our end.

We tried too hard to get home runs last night, when we should have worked for hitting into the gaps. I know Hinch will have discussed this with the team already.

Strasburg was dominant last night but Greinke has looked really good for the Astros tonight.
