Ever since Byron passed this tournament has steadily gone down in status; makes me sad. All the top players made this stop back in the day, now hardly any of them do.

This move to "signature events" and the LIV defectors has really watered down the fields in non-signature events.

Sucks for the Byron because there are so many golf fans in north Texas area.

Finished at -2 (69) which is T77th, not great. He'll probably be fighting right on the cut line tomorrow; my guess is the cut will be -4 or -5.

Cut is only -3 but JW is going backwards.
+2 on the day thru 13, Even total. He'll have to play the last 5 in -3 then hope the cut stays put.

JW shot +1(72) in round 1,T85th, not good. Tied with Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, Tommy Fleetwood, and Rickie Fowler among several others. He'll be fighting to make the cut tomorrow.

Bad day today; +6 thru 14 holes, gonna miss the cut by a bunch

They just finished a year long renovation of the course, supposed to be really well done

JW shot +3(73) today, very no bueno. Only 1 birdie and he butchered the relatively easy, short par 4 17th with a double.

2nd round 75 finishes off Jimmy's week; shot +8 missing the cut by 6.

Jimmy is teeing it up this week. He tees off at 11:20 AM tomorrow morning in Detroit at the rocket mortgage classic.

He has not had much luck there the last several years… But he did finish tied for 21st in the first year of the event in 2019.

Bad start, +4(76) puts him nearly DFL, he beat only 6 guys out of 156. Another MC coming tomorrow unless he can shoot in the neighborhood of 8 under in round 2.

The 15 year old kid is beating him by 2 strokes

Better day on day 2 for JW, shot 3 under (69) but still missed the cut by 5. Lost to the 15 year old by 1

Holy crap...I didnt even know Jimmy was playing in the Irish Open. He finished T7. Way to go Jimmy!

Maybe this can get him kick started.
