Looks like they got a ton of rain overnight, I guess they're still on schedule.

Ever since Byron passed this tournament has steadily gone down in status; makes me sad. All the top players made this stop back in the day, now hardly any of them do.

This move to "signature events" and the LIV defectors has really watered down the fields in non-signature events.

Sucks for the Byron because there are so many golf fans in north Texas area.

Jimmy is teeing it up this week. He tees off at 11:20 AM tomorrow morning in Detroit at the rocket mortgage classic.

He has not had much luck there the last several years… But he did finish tied for 21st in the first year of the event in 2019.

Haven't heard from Jimmy in a while… but he is playing this week.

The Arnold Palmer invitational is a signature event with a limited field. So they are also running the Puerto Rico Open as an alternate event this weekend.

Jimmy had a great start -3 through 7 and was in second place. He has had a couple of bogies since then though.

Jimmy has played a few events in Europe this year but this week he got a sponsors exemption to the Texas Children's Houston Open. Opening round tee time is at 8:48 with Beau Hossler and Henrik Norlander. Hope all the Houston area Bears will be out to support him.

I think Valero is a much better course fit for Jimmy than the bomber's delight Memorial Park.

In 2023 Jimmy had a T22 at the Valero.

He had a better first round than Rory, JT, Lowry, Cantlay, Koepka, Spieth, Cam Smith and more.

Not a bad start in the toughest field in golf.
