The fact that we're arguing over who's to blame for a Biden victory, as if that's the worst thing imaginable, says everything about what's wrong with the GOP. Say what you will about the Dems and their evil ideas, but at least they believe in something. Republicans are so fearful and desperate that they'll vote for a literal fascist if that's what it takes to get power.
Short-sighted pragmatism is no real pragmatism at all. A Trump victory will be the end of the GOP's credibility as any sort of conservative party. It's all nazis vs. commies from here on out, just like old Europe once upon a time (and quite possibly again).
Open borders with millions of illegals entering our country annually demanding perpetual care.
Blundering out of Afghanistan leaving over 4 billion dollars worth of military equipment to the most vicious terrorist organization in the world
Directly provoking a proxy war with Russia using the lives of thousands of Ukrainian civilians as cannon fodder.
Openly converting the DOJ and FBI into the ' muscle ' of the Democratic Party.
Constantly advocating hatred and discrimination against people with lighter shades of skin color.
Spending trillions of dollars the country simply does not possess resulting in rampant inflation.
All while the Presidency and Senate are controlled by the Democrats.
Amazing that all those things are true and yet there is a large segment of conservatives in America who think our biggest issue is that we are not supporting ukriane or Israel enough in their wars.
Our country is being transformed in front of our eyes (into some very dark) and yet it's foreign wars that get them animated
I don't know what circles you run with, but I can honestly say that Ukraine and Israel do not come up in conversations at all. Border, Economy, Social Media issues, Generational differences, and sick of same old Political candidates all come up. Ukraine? Israel? Funding Foreign Policy? Can't name a conversation on that in a long time.
I just spent a week in Washington DC and neither came up. Hell, the election, Trump, Biden or any of what we discuss here didn't come up at the bars. What restaurants were good, how clean DC was around the Convention Center surprised us, flights, and work, Pretty normal life stuff, there is a fringe that is obsessed on both sides. Normal people don't think or talk about it much and I travel a fair amount.
I don't think there is this huge movement of unhappiness and appetite for Trump to take over. Now, he hits the economy and how he can make our life less expensive or young people buy homes? That he can win with. The other stuff is an anchor...
