Hamas' attack on Israel offers the country's prime minister an opportunity to course correct and save his political legacy if he takes it.

https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/10/08/israel-war-benjamin-netanyahu-legacy-00120532

This attack has very odd timing for Netanyahu. I find it hard to believe that the Mossad didnt see this coming. It could be possible that they let the attack happen bc this would unify the country behind the Likud party. Of course this is a conspiracy theory but I dont find it hard to believe.

If nothing else it hurts their credibility as a fearsome intelligence agency.

Gaza is surrounded by by concert walls and barbed wire. Its under constant 24-7 surveillance by IDF military outposts and drone reconnaissance.

Someone's proverbial head should roll for not knowing this plan was being hatched.

It must have taken years for Hamas to build up the weapons and plan such a break out/attack.

Gaza is like 1/10th the size of McLennan County Texas (140sq miles vs 1,060sq miles).....it should not be hard to monitor
Why would it take years? With a sudden tidal wave of money from Iran thanks to Biden, they could wage this attack effectively. With billions at your disposal all your plans and ideas become easily attainable.
Well, the billions are sitting in a bank account in UAE and havent been touched.
The $6 billion doesn't matter. The sanctions don't even matter. If we drilled at home Iran would be broke and in a war with Afghanistan over water.

If we just got Venezuela to give up it's disastrous path of dictatorial socialism and become our ally we would never need Iran or anyone in the Middle East.

[Venezuela has the largest volume of proven oil reserves on earth besting even Saudi Arabia]

I would urge those of you who are Christians to exercise some caution in this. We don't really have any allies in the halls of power right now in 2023.

In the west (NZ/AU/CA/US/UK/EU) our rulers are largely secular humanists who support the rainbow jihad.

In the middle east, Muslims or Jews for whom we are either dhimmis or second class citizens.

Jewish Extremist Attacks Rattle Christians In Holy Land

There is no such thing as the Judeo-Christian religion.

Remember that our kingdom is not of this world but of the next and it's increasingly looking like the sort of martyrdom that characterized the first half millenium of the church and still occurs regularly in Africa, the Middle East, and Armenia will become widespread. Taking sides in a conflict between a violent death cult that follows a false prophet and denies the Trinity and the descendents of those who yelled "Crucify Him!" in a secular state established by the United Nations and promotes the western ideas cited above is a very risky proposition. We should be standing for life and peace irrespective of sides.

And those plans would have been seen pretty easily if truckloads of missiles started arriving out of the blue. It took years because it was a very coordinated, most heavily advanced attack Hamas has pulled on Israel in a long, long time. It took years because in order for it to work, things had to look normal for a long period.
So the timing of the attack just weeks after the $6,000,000,000 was released to Iran was merely coincidence? Again? To be fair they probably have a long list of different attacks they have had planned for years, they just needed something to coordinate and supply the terrorist goat ****ers for implementation when it was time. All it takes is a few billion in funding and suddenly factions come together, weapons in every hand and rounds in every magazine, brand new ultralights for everyone and here we are.

The $6B is not released to Iran. It is in a fund in South Korea. Look for us to freeze it indefinitely . Having said that, it's hard to believe that the Biden Admin. actually intended to give Iran $6B in the first place. How foolish.

Yes, that was brought up earlier. The issue is that the incoming $6,000,000,000 freed up $6,000,000,000 already in Iran's possession. It's similar to how planned parenthood gets tens of millions in tax dollars every year but can't officially use that money for abortions. Everyone except the willfully ignorant knows that tax money freed up PP money to be used for abortions.

You have to also realize that Iran is a very corrupt country with all kinds of internal factions fighting for control.

They might not even know who they are funding and what each of these groups detailed plans are.

[A unique feature of Iran's economy is the presence of large religious foundations called bonyads, whose combined budgets represent more than 30 percent of central government spending.

Price controls and subsidies, particularly on food and energy, are heavily prominent in the economy. Contraband, administrative controls, widespread corruption, and other restrictive factors undermine private sector-led growth]

Besides the wipe spread corruption... [Bonyads are large "charitable trusts" in Iran that play a major role in Iran's non-petroleum economy, controlling an estimated 20% of Iran's GDP, and channeling revenues to groups supporting the Islamic Republic. Exempt from taxes, they have been called "bloated," and "a major weakness of Iran's economy". They have also been criticized for reaping "huge subsidies from government," while siphoning off production to the lucrative black market]

Who knows what certain individuals associated with the Bonyards are funding or up to.

The political and military situation is just as complicated.

The political elected leadership sets one policy and its often counteracted by the Religious authorities/Guardian Council.

The military is the Iranian Armed Forces "tasked to protect the territorial integrity of the country from external and internal threats and to project power."

It funds certain groups in certain countries.

But then there is the the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (basically a duplicate armed forces)... tasked not to defend the country but to defend the Islamic revolution and ruling class, "preventing foreign interference in Iran, thwarting coups by the traditional military, and crushing deviant movements that harm the ideological legacy of the Islamic Revolution"

It funds all kinds of terrorist factions and groups.

The Iranian Armed Forces and the Revolutionary Guard are often at odds and political rivals.

So its very possible the Iranian army funds one group...and the IRGC is at the same time funding another.

Oftern at the expense of Isreal.

Winston & Strawn rescinds NYU law student's job offer over 'inflammatory' Israel comments

Winston & Strawn has rescinded a New York University School of Law student's job offer after learning about anti-Israel comments that the student made in an online newsletter Monday.

While the law firm did not name the student, who it called a former summer associate, Reuters and Bloomberg Law report that Ryna Workman wrote in a student bar association publication that "Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life." Workman is the president of the NYU Law Student Bar Association.

According to Reuters, Workman's LinkedIn account has been deleted but previously listed a position as a summer associate at Winston & Strawn. The law student did not respond to Reuters or Bloomberg Law's requests for comment.

Bloomberg Law additionally reports that Workman said Israel's actions toward Palestine led to the latest armed conflict, which began Oct. 7, when the Hamas militant group launched a surprise attack on Israel.

"This regime of state-sanctioned violence created the conditions that made resistance necessary," Workman reportedly wrote. "I will not condemn Palestinian resistance."

In a statement released Tuesday, Winston & Strawn called the comments over the attack "inflammatory" and said they "profoundly conflict" with the firm's values.

"As communicated yesterday to all Winston personnel, we remain outraged and deeply saddened by the violent attack on Israel over the weekend," the firm also said in its statement. "Our hearts go out to our Jewish colleagues, their families, and all those affected."

According to Reuters, Troy McKenzie, the dean of the New York University School of Law, sent a message to the law school community Tuesday, saying the comments did not come from the school or its leadership. A law school spokesperson did not return Reuters' request for comment.

Both the demographic statistics themselves, as well as the history of Jewish emigration to Palestine in the 1930s tell an entirely different story….]
