I absolutely hate people using the label "Nazi" when referring to modern political movements. And although I fall into the habit myself occasionally, it's intellectually lazy. The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterparte was something tied to a specific place and a specific time. It had specific characteristics. Using the term creates all sorts of cognitive dissonance - like how Ukranian nationalists who espouse 21st century fascism can work with a Jewish president to commit national suicide.
Anti-Semitism - or perhaps more accurately Anti-Zionism for our day - isn't something that automatically has to be tied in to all fascist movements.
Speaking of fascism, has anyone bothered looking at the development of oligopolies and monopolies driven by corporate M&A activity along with the behavior of national police agencies in a formerly representative republic near you?
I was making a valid historic comparison as someone who actually understands somewhat the intricacies of fascism, nazism, etc. Still, most people are aware of some basic facts about the Nazis including the Holocaust.
All Palestinians are Nazis is propaganda and I think you know it🇵🇸🇮🇱 This video is from 1989.

2. So if you lose a war against Israel they get to occupy your country forever?

All dead on. I agree.historian said:
Both excellent points. However, Judea & Samaria (usually labeled the West Bank) have not been independent since 2005, only Gaza has. The last point applies to lots of places surrounding Israel including the Sinai. As for Judea & Samaria, everyone might as well accept that they are part of Israel. Without them, the country's borders are untenable and the nation is not giving it up. Why should they? To appease terrorists who want to exterminate them and have been trying for decades?
The wiser Arabs have already accepted the reality of Israel & learned to live with it: Egypt, Jordan, and more recently with the Abraham Accords dome of the Gulf States. Saudi Arabia seemed ready to join the group of sane countries until Hamas created chaos again. Maybe that's why they attacked, at Iran's bidding. Iran was already largely isolated in the region. A Saudi-Israeli accommodation would only increase that isolation. They might even feared that the multinational arrangement could evolve into an alliance against them, as strange as that sounds. Iran is a bigger threat to everyone else in the region than Israel.
If you attack your neighbor and they take your land you expect to get it back? No harm, no foul? Let's keep doing it until we get it right? You have been playing too many video games!Redbrickbear said:FLBear5630 said:They haven't lived under occupation since 2005. Yes, you attack and lose, you lose the land forever. That is how war works, that is why you don't do stuff like Hamas and the PLO have done. Gaza is a perfect example, you kill a nations citizens people tend to take it personally.
Israel has treated Hama and the Palestinians better than they would treat the Israelis.

Not to mention, Egypt and Jordan occupied the West Bank and Gaza before 1967. I guess that was ok
Also Israel doesn't occupy all of West Bank.
And, yes, Arabs massacred Jews before and after WW2, supported the Nazis in WW2, went to war against Israel in '48 and '67, continued to commit numerous terrorist attacks after '67, including Intifadas, and yet, Israel is the bad guy for "occupying." Many countries would have wiped Palestine off the map.

It's that very comparison of Israel as a violent settler expansionist entity that has turned the American Left and institutional liberals against the State.

1. Israel never pulled out of the West Bank…they pulled out of Gaza.
2. So if you lose a war against Israel they get to occupy your country forever?
Hell of a deal
Your house is located on land that once belonged to Indians.
When are you going to quit claim your deed over to one ?
So you are admitting Israel is built on land stolen through military conquest?
I'm not sure how you think a comparison like that is helpful to your buddies in Tel Aviv.
It's that very comparison of Israel as a violent settler expansionist entity that has turned the American Left and institutional liberals against the State.

Even if some misguided souls want to bring that back, such a world is unsustainable in a post Hiroshima world. There are too many fools in DC and Brussels for whom that event is a meaningless footnote in a high school history textbook and not a species defining event.

Israel isn't conquering anyone in 2023.
If the Native Americans decided they want their land back and choose to commit terrorist attacks against the colonizers, I just hope that these white liberal college aged goofballs skip class to protest and show support for the Indians who slaughter their friends and family.Redbrickbear said:KaiBear said:Redbrickbear said:KaiBear said:Redbrickbear said:KaiBear said:Redbrickbear said:FLBear5630 said:They haven't lived under occupation since 2005.
