And lots of those soldiers in the US Army would be unwilling to shoot and kill their friends and family, or ordinary Americans who are just like them.
The military has been taken over by woke morons and they have recruited like minded crazies but not very successfully: recruitment numbers are way down for that same reason, although they won't admit it. I've see. Multiple reports about the recruiting crisis & how they cannot figure out why.
Exactly.
There aren't a lot of American soldiers who would be willing to kick doors and shoot their neighbors.
Leftists are so damn stupid. The idea that they could just order the military to murder citizens... it's just ridiculous.
That part in bold is key.
The US military has the power to wrap up an insurrection fairly quickly and easily. But it's more complicated than just weapons & soldiers.
The first response of government to insurrection is to deploy police power to disperse crowds, prosecute lawbreakers, etc...... Military only gets called in after police have been overwhelmed. But within that is even more nuance.
The police are trained to put their hands on criminals....to bust down doors, wrestle suspects to the ground, and affix handcuffs.....to lean their shields into crowds and swing nightsticks to literally beat a riot into submission. Police are trained to see every encounter as a potential life-threatening situation. The context of "service" is to remove bad guys from equations. and a very, very high percentage of police encounters are with criminals. So Police tend to follow orders. To have very little compunction over grabbing citizens and throwing them in jail. They are used to getting into hand to hand combat with lawbreakers. They have no compunction whatsoever at throwing force at unnamed faces in crowds. if ordered to do so, they will.
Not so a soldier. Their training builds a different worldview. They are saviors of the nation. They protect people. They go to great lengths, from weapon design, to orders of battle, to fire control, to rules of engagement...to NOT inflict harm on civilians, even civilians of foreign lands who speak different languages, worship different gods, etc....who may not even appreciate the restraint being afforded to them.
So that creates this dynamic: public order breaks down. police deployed to restore order. crowds overwhelm police. military deployed to restore order. (then the crisis moment). Will the military actually do what is necessary to restore order? Remember, they've been drilled their whole lives NOT to shoot into crowds..... Very often, soldiers let the crowds climb right over the tanks. And that's the real lesson = if the appearance of tanks does not itself disperse the crowd, the crowd will probably win. Because tank crews will not normally fire on crowds.
So watch how the police are used and how effective they are.
And watch what the reaction is when the tanks are deployed. If the deployment itself does not end the uprising.....well, that's the moment when the head of state calls for the aircraft to take him to Switzerland.
as a general rule, when the order is given to send in the tanks, it's already too late........
