I would argue his one assertion is correct but it's not that one. It's that Americans lack the stomach needed to finish the job. We care too much how the task is accomplished. We want to win a war without killing people. We are also baby sh8t soft as a people.
We are cool with bombing from afar because they don't have to see American soldiers die on the evening news. Korea and, to a much larger extent, Vietnam killed our will to win. When the realities of war were brought home people just couldn't handle it.

So attacking Israel was a suicide move? Probably. Even with seemingly endless supplies from Iran, they have zero chance of achieving their goal.
